Adolin being so tired and demoralized he can barely stand but as he pushes himself to the spear line to hold the dome in Azimir, and he thinks Kaladin had it much worse as a bridgeman. Lopen, Rock, Skar, Sigzil had all described the bridge runs when they went drinking.

This is an appreciation post for Drehy, one of the most iconic ogs of Bridge Four
From Drehy shoving Sigzil in the chasm for mocking Kaladin ("Leave him alone, at least he tries") to Drehy pairing up with Skar and risking his life again and again for Adolin to Drehy saying "yeah" with a straight face to Lopen's explanation of him being extra-manly for courting a guy to Drehy lightening the mood when Kaladin is ranting about spoilt lighteyes throwing parties ("Are there sides?") to Drehy saving Gavinor and swearing his Second Ideal with Skar ("We protect those who cannot protect themselves") to Drehy being ogled at by Lift to Drehy giving Renarin advice about how to approach Rlain and holding back from patting him on the back because he knew Renarin didn't like being touched, we came a long damn way and I. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. DREHY.
I imagine the first time Adolin flies, it feels like falling down that chasm after pushing off the Parshendi Shardbearer and he shrieks and clutches Kaladin and clings on to him the whole duration of the flight and Bridge Four finds it hilarious (and don't bother to hide it)
"I'm never going to live this down, am I?" Adolin asks, once safely down on the ground.
"Never, Brightlord," Skar and Drehy echo solemnly.
"That's like...he wants to be even less around women than the rest of us. It's the opposite of feminine. He is, you could say, extra manly."
I just heard the theory that right after the Lopen sticks up for Drehy (though of course I know Kaladin didn't mean to insult him and apologized immediately) in typical say something stupid and diffuse the atmosphere Lopen-style, we find him lifting rocks and searching for something. So maybe this is when Rua was attracted to him, since Lopen's Windrunner abilities mostly manifest as cheering up people's spirits...
...which is a beautiful way to protect.
