hello! Love your art! Especially your Edge of Midnight comics and fanart. 🧡💛🤎🖤
Hope you don't mind my incoming information dump XD
So I was thinking about your drawing of Jericho's Masquerade outfit and the other drawing of Jericho as a little blue bird.
Online, I discovered Virgil/Raum picked that bluebird themed masquerade outfit for Jericho because the crow was reminded of the mother of someone named "Felix".
Felix's Mom had a little bluebird and she loved it a lot; kept it safe in her room all the time. But Jericho's outfit having a cage cape represents his anima, or soul, and his true self.
Well, with your art of Jericho's soul as a blue bird, I've been wondering.
Jericho Sticks was created by a coven of hags, and these hags sacrificed the blood of a skilled banjo player to perform the ritual of bringing Jericho to life.
So naturally, when you drew Jericho's soul as a bluebird, I developed a headcanon that the sacrifice might be Felix or his family relative.
Which seems very interesting, but I hope Avantris will make it canon one day. If not, oh well.
What do you think? Good theory or no?
Eyy thank you so much~! ^v^
Okay so, in my personal understanding of the canon, Jericho was given the appearance of a bluebird in a cage because of how he seems to be a good soul trapped in this very horrible situation, and Virgil (once regaining more of his mind) is very aware of this. Whether it's cuz he was reminded explicitly of Felix's family, who were also good people stuck in a bad situation, or he was feeling a bit ironic that day is yet to be known.
As to who Jericho truly was, We have to keep in mind the sacrifice the sister's used to make him was described as a halfling man, meaning we can take any humans out of the picture. Plus BDW took place 300 years before EoM, so someone like Felix is either dead or very very old (And probably in the Makani islands)
That being said, a whole lot can happen in 300 years, you can make a lot of generations with that, one of which could've ended in Yona, meaning that the possibility of Jericho having some connection to the Ackerman family is not zero >v>
