Tear didn't get to experience hot and cold as a ghost. They also only ever ate ghost food before, like the ghost sandwich. It's vastly different from what every monster/human eats. Snow is the first thing Tear experiences with the new body, both in touch and taste. It felt comforting to them after the stressful event with Error and contributed to them liking it so much.
