Sketchbook. October 2019

A man drawn correctly and incorrectly. The one with the beard is intentionally distorted. That’s what realism is about—stretching certain qualities of a person, then using that perception in real life. We all do it.

A farmer and some people. The farmer wears a hat and has a beard. This is exactly how we imagine a farmer. He’s in a checkered shirt and leaning on something. It’s not a sword, right? He’s not a Viking. He’s a farmer. That’s a fact. And the people? Just random folks.

A man in a boxing stance. He probably doesn’t have serious intentions. But you never know what to expect from a fool. September 2024.

A man with glasses and a man without glasses. These are two entities. One is faded, the other is the opposite. I am starting a new account and a series of sketchbooks with this. September 2024

A man in headphones. He is drawn in blue pencil. He is engrossed in something on his smartphone. In general, the real metro is quite deserted. If you are not wearing headphones and do not have a smartphone in your hand, you are quite lonely in the loud world of the subway. Arel 2019

Father and son. This is a clear relationship. It is clearer than friendship and more honest than love. It seems clearer than the relationship between mother and daughter. But I may be wrong about this. April 2019
