Today's stark, dark desk buddy is the elusive Shadowstrip - I have mentioned before that I am no fan of frame combiners, but that doesn't mean I dislike their constituent figures. Legacy's Dragstrip was one such toy I really liked, so I was on the hunt for this oddly rare G2 redeco for quite a while.
Back when the Speedia 5000 Collection was still on shelves I sadly missed the opportunity to get my hands on this guy, Shadowstrip, and as this is a seemingly uncommon figure most of the aftermarket prices were a bit too much for my liking... But a friend on Discord sold me his copy for much less!
Also at the weekend I went to Smyth's with another friend to get my hands on some of the belated new arrivals
• Animated Ratchet is an obvious yet absolutely fantastic retool of Earthrise Trailbreaker, a mold I already enjoy
• Prime Smokescreen is a little undercooked and sadly has pretty iffy QC
The aforementioned dragstrip doodles that I was talking about. Was trying to get a feel for their personality and trying to figure out how to draw them :p
Wanted give them cute flowers on their hub caps (?) so badly but I chickened out </3 I just think it would be so cute
