@dragooniv ; kain . ( cont . )
The cave is bigger than one would first think - the flickering light of the torches reveal as such (along with the fact that the two are fairly far in to avoid being discovered by any unwanted visitors of the monster variety).
The air in the cave is damp and heavy, but the flames are big enough that they are not in any danger of being extinguished.
Sakura had busied herself with making sure all of their belongings were accounted for once she had dressed Kain’s wounds (simply as something to do... to slow down her thoughts, perhaps). Though it may be safe to assume the lost concoctions might not be found once the two leave their refuge.
Kain’s words brought her to a halt. It was not something she has really stopped to think about much before... She takes time to mull over her words, before she speaks. Her voice is still shaky from the adrenaline of the encounter (her entire body is, in fact, though not not as noticeable now), but she tries to maintain a steady pace with her words.
“ I... suppose it does. ”
A hand reaches the back of her neck, out of habit more than anything.
“ Though... I believh--... believe they will be fine, at least for the time being. I’m not their only form of support, after all. And... besides, I think you and those wounds... take priority right now. ”
A pause falls between them, before she asks a question of her own.
“ What about you? Do you ffh... feel concern for your party, when... you can’t provide offence? ”
