Jimmy- Due to his condition and mental state, the court case was extended for quite a while. After his recovery, he begged the Judge to be sentenced to death but instead was sent to a psychiatric hospital, not even prison. He is surprisingly calm and his behavior is docile, tho from time to time, he asks his caretakers if they could "put the old dog to sleep". He is lost in thought while holding that Polle plushie, sometimes murmuring "I'm sorry" or cradling it like a baby.

Anya- She originally cut ties with everyone, except Jimmy due to the court case. She was in favor of sending him to the psychiatric hospital. With time, she reconnected with Swansea and Daisuke, they have dinner or lunch together sometimes. Finally made it to med school, the Tulpar incident brought the attention of some sponsors that granted her a scholarship. Sometimes mourns the stillborn and even her friendship with Curly, but she rather not reconnect with him in order to move forward with her life.

Swansea- His recovery was quicker than the rest, so he told the authorities about Anya's sexual assault, him suspecting Jimmy caused the crash and everything that happened during those months trapped. He wanted Jimmy to get a death sentence, probably the only thing the two of them agree on. His wife and children forced him to retire and some even moved in with him in order to support him. He feels a bit useless but is happy, being around his loved ones made him realize that these are his happiest moments of his life.

Daisuke- His parents allowed him to pursue a career and job that aligned more to his interests, probably out of guilt. He is studying programming and is working part time as an art assistant for a video-game studio. He is the only one who visits Jimmy despite Swansea and his parents being against it, he doesn't know why he does it even despite knowing the truth. He and Jimmy only talk about the weather or jimmy congratulating Daisuke's achievements.
