I cannot decide if I want this story to be in third or first person. So I wrote two writing demos of a scene (both are about a five-minute read) to help me decide.
Sylas lives in a kingdom desperate for dragons, as the trading of resources from slain beasts is how they got their wealth. Naturally, their numbers are incredibly low, but demand has remained high. As a dragon himself, he has to masquerade as a human. However, one emotional slip could expose him, so he's reaching out beyond the veil for some help, as benevolent spirits won't help a dragon.
Oh yeah, and the demon is just blatantly "heavily inspired" by Beetlejuice I'm not even going to hide that.
Sorry for being insufferable about this, but when I share something everywhere and cast a wide net and get NO BITES when I wake up in the morning, I become an even bigger pest. They’re like a five-minute read each.
