I just finished playing Danganronpa 1, and here is a comparison of who I thought my top three would be by the end of the game, and who they actually were!
(for clarification I have already seen the anime years ago and these were my top 3 from that)
Before Playing: Chihiro, Toko, and Kyoko!
After Playing: Leon and Kyoko!
(I’ve noticed I don’t really have 3rd favorite, all the other characters are generally on the same level for me aside from Leon and Kyoko, despite growing to love the cast so much.)
