i could go on and on about a lot of the looks (SZA!!!) but also some of these outfits are so upsetting, like, GET WITH THE THEME!!!

like, julianna moore?? ma’am that’s just a black gown and feather shawl. and MAYBE she’s referencing the famous painting Madam X with that one shoulder moment but it still feels so boring. even gigi hadid kind of let me down. i think it was how the undergarments kind of felt just thrown on?? i don’t know it didn’t match the style of the gown, WHICH HAD POTENTIAL!!!

Emma Chamberlain's look grew on me as the night went on lol, she really went out with a bang. Her, Eileen Gu, and Anok Yai are probably my favorites, but overall it was a disappointing year, but I guess that's kind of to be expected by now... (A met gala about costume art without a Vivienne Westwood corset in sight should also be illegal)

I think that's my issue because most merch does not fit my personal style at all. I either dress very feminine or I lean into more of a skater style, and merch of the things I like just don't work for that lol 😭

i will say i do like the oilers wag jackets, the material is nice and i like the distinct print and font.

You're right about missed potential! Those jean jackets look really cool, but I think it's the concept of exclusive wag jackets that's tacky to me.

I just don't get the point of them in general. Putting myself in that situation, I don't know if I'd want to be 'branded' by my partner like that. There's some tradwife-ism to it that just irks me. Like just rep the team like any other fan...?

I didn’t realize my teacher posted English work so I’m doing a whole research paper right now that is due at midnight and I still have calc homework. So I get being busy. Also stressing over college because where I applied to makes there decisions next week.

I have seen these videos where people have multiple passports and use a different one depending on the country.

So, Lilli and Logan both have American passports, and Logan has work visas for each country he races in. They also have Swiss passports, and Lilli holds a dual citizenship passport for Latvia, as does her mother and maternal family.

In general, it is not extremely hard for the Meyer/Meyer-Sargeant family to acquire visas to any of the countries they wish to visit, but it’s not something they brag about. It has been brought up before in conversation (and does shock some people) but when you think about it, someone in Lilli’s position would absolutely have that power.
