With 2016 having given most of us a good beating, in its wake comes the Trump administration. Ā While most Americans are groaning (rightfully so, wtf is this guys deal?) I see this as the birth of a new America. Ā MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! A chant most people find hypocritical and hateful, I see how this could be a way to truly Make America great again. Ā Now I know y'all are all thinking how could there be an upside to all of this, but there is, so bear with me.

The Republican Party over the years has presented us with some really ass backwards policies, and in the last few months has kept the train going with no plans to slow. Ā Even with the world developing and changing around them, the GOP seems to just cross their arms and hold their breath like kids who want dessert. Ā To top it all off, they currently control both houses so the odds of anything but Lucy and Ethel style policies are unlikely.Ā
THERE'S STILL HOPE THOUGH!...We still got The Donald! Ā Ignoring some of the crazy that's come out of his mouth within the last 10 years or so, lets look at a few of Trumps positions.
āĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā The Donald has jumped around quite a bit with his affiliations. Ā Between 1987 and now he's gone between Republican, Democrat and Independent 5 times. In fact he began his presidential run asā¦ā¦.. An Independent (what a twist)
āĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā In multiple interviews he has been quoted as saying the economy runs better under the Democratic leadership and has claimed to have more in common with the GOPās rivals. Ā Did I mention Mr. Trump has also been long time friend of the Clintons?
āĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Most recently however, The Donald claimed, the platform adopted by republicans at the RNC was not inline with his views for the country.
āSooooo, how the hell does any of this point to Donald Trump actually making America great againā you ask. Well everything of course. Ā Throughout the years Trump has been known as a businessman, and when it comes to business, the bottom line is all that matters. Ā In his 2004 interview with Wolf Blitzer he says, ājust seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicansā. Ā And here is where his genius comes in. Ā Trump is just a puppet for the GOPās agenda right? WRONG! The Donald is making America great by doing us all the favor of destroying it from the inside. Ā With the arrival of this administration, Donald Trump has done things that even have those that voted for him scratching their heads, yet that grand old party keeps supporting him. Ā This stubbornness to change with the times and evolve will be their own undoing. Let me clarify with a disclaimer: I AM IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM SAYING DEMOCRATS HAVE IT ALL RIGHT. Ā However with The Donaldās antics and all this GOP support, I can't wait to watch the party implode. How bout this, I'll bring the soda you bring the popcorn.

Spring is here, but Iām still a broke student, and even though funds are low, that doesnāt mean the fun has to be low as well. So hereās five things to do while being a broke student during spring that will be not only be affordable, but a great time for you and your friends.
#1. Drinks on Deck
Spring days and warm nights are soon upon us. With that in mind, a nice cold drink (preferably from Starbucks) is in order. Even though Starbucks is thought to be for stay at home moms, pompous teenagers, and hippies that drink dirty chai lovers, it can also be for urban youts. So here are some drinks that you can order to cool down and relax during #SpringBroke

#2. Netflix and Chill (By Myself)
As a student, you need time to be alone and do something that you actually enjoy doing. Youāve been hard at work, waking up early for class, studying from sun up to sundown. So instead of going out, gather up some of your favorite snacks and beverages and catch up on some of your favorite T.V series and old movies. āOrange is the New Blackā is soon to release a new season, so whatās better than catching up on one of the best series there is on Netflix.
#3. Spring Adventures
Gather all of your friends and be ready for a great time. No matter where you live we all have different forms of parks and recreations. Each city has there own little perks. Walk around town and explore. Find new adventures. Around this time in the NYC, you may find some amazing performers in parks that put on a spectacular show for natives and tourist. Find an amazing food truck; they may be parked along the edges of popular parks if they are permitted. If none of the above is available at your local park, turn off your phone and talk to people. Play on the swings, slide down the slide, climb the jungle gym like nobody's watching. All of the kids should be in school, so the park is all yours.
#4. Star Gazing
Stargazing is Americaās best-kept secret. Tell all of your friends that you have an idea thatās fun and free. All that is needed is a blanket, good music, and great friends. Wait until it gets slightly dark and go to your backyard, layout your blankets and portable speaker, lay down and look up; simple as that. Talk about old times and new memories. If you want to splurge you can include some sāmores.
#5. Food is Everywhere
Finding a new up & coming restaurant seems quite hard, but now a day itās simple. But then you have to factor in that it needs to be in budget, which can make it a little more difficult. Yelp has some pretty good reviews and ratings. Ask your friends as well, usually if they say itās good and affordable, theyāre typically right. If you go to the restaurant or in my case, Roman House, bring a lunch buddy and it could only set you back $10. Restaurant Tip: Order water it is not only cheaper it is healthier and breakouts can be a thing of the past.
