This article introduces doosan DA30 Dump Truck engine assembly -Removal

Place the dump truck on level ground and apply parking brake. Apply articulation lock. Turn off main switch in battery case. Raise the dump body and lock it with the safety support. Raise the tiltable cab and lock it with the safety support. Remove bonnet. Drain engine coolant. Look in OPERATION & MAINTENANCE MANUAL chapter 2 for instructions.

WARNING： Never turn off battery main switch when engine is running Never turn off battery mainSwitch when ignition is on Leave battery main switch on for atleast 3 minutes before engine has stopped

DANGER：lace wheel chocks to the front wheel

Take away the cab bolt, left and right hand side. M46 mm Bolt torque: 277Nm

Turn the direction valve on the pump in lifting up position. With the handle, pump and raise the cab

Left side: 1. Disassemble the cab pump unit from the air filter stand. 2. Remove the water hose from the pipe socket. 3. Remove the fuel hoses (3 pcs) and 4. Disassemble hydraulic hoses

Disasssemble the cable to the Air filter sensor and cable to the sensor for the cooling water expansion tank. The unit will have two sensors on T4i/stage 3B (black arrows). Doosan Machine Engine Diagnostic Software Package 2024 One PC Installation

Slack the transmission belt. Detach the Air Cond. compressor with the hoses on, from the engine. Check that all of the clamps are undone. Place the Air condition compressor on the left side while the en gine is dismounted.

Disconnect the hose from the termostat housing and the pipe between the air cooler and engine air inlet. Disconnect bracket for the air pipe and bracket between engine and fan bracket

Disconnect the outlet pipe bend from turbo, and the inlet water hose from the transmission cooler.

Disconnect the retur hose. (Engine - expansion tank) (Quick release coupling) (Front of the engine, view from the right hand side)

Disconnect the urea venting filter

Disconnect the cables between starter motor and the frame

Disconnect contact on the dynamo.

Remove the cover and disconnect the electrical contact from the engine ECU -S6 control unit Unwind wires from engine to frame

Before installation, check free travel of all moving parts in housing. Spools can be exchanged individually. Oil components before reassembly according to ZF list of lubricants TE-ML 03. Insert diaphragms with concave side facing upward until contact is obtained. NOTE: Installation position, see arrows.

2， Install components according to Figure 90. NOTE: Preload compression spring of the follow onslides and locate spool provisionally using cylindrical pins 05.0 mm (0.1969 in)(assembly aid), See Figure 91.

3. Install two adjusting screws. 4. Assemble gasket (1, Figure 92) and housing cover (Figure 92). Position housing cover uniformly, using adjusting screws, until contact is obtained and remove cylindrical pins (assembly aid) again(Figure 93). NOTE: Pay attention to different housing covers. B.I nstall components according to Figure 96.

  C. Preload compression springs of the follow on slidesand locatespool provisionally using cylindrical pins O 5mm(0.1969 in)(assembly aid). See arrows. D. Install two adjusting screws. E. Assemble gasket(1, Figure 97) and housing cover, and position them uniformly against shoulder, using adjusting screws. NOTE: Pay attention to different housing covers, install the recess 019mm(0.7480 in)(2, Figure 97), facing the main pressure valve. F. Fasten housing cover using socket head screws. 1. Figure 78,shows complete control unit.

2. Mark the installation position of different covers,the

thousing and the cable harness with the valve housing.

3. Loosen socket head screws.

4. Separate duct plate,1st gasket,intermediate plate and 2nd gasket from the valve housing.

5. Remove retaining clip.

6. Loosen socket head screws.

Fully stroke work levers (joysticks) in all directions to relieve any pressure from accumulators. 7. Set safety lever on "LOCK" position. 8. Turn key to "O" (OFF) position and remove from starter switch. 9. Hang a maintenance warning tag on controls. 10. Disconnect negative (-) battery cable leading to frame from battery. 11. Tag and disconnect hoses from swing motor (1, Figure 3). Plug and cap hoses and ports to prevent contamination from entering hydraulic system or component. 12. Disconnect tube (2) from drain cock (3) and hose fitting (7) from fill hole. 13. Remove twelve bolts and washers (4, Figure 3) holding swing reduction gearbox (5) to frame. 14. Using a suitable lifting device, slingswing motor (1, Figure3) and remove swing motor and reduction gearbox (5) as  an assembly from unit.
