📸 • @chasesthesun Ella! . . . Ella is a beautiful area of Sri Lanka, tucked away in the hills it offers a more relaxing experience away from the hustle of busier cities and towns. There’s plenty to do here, from a short rewarding walk to little Adams peak, to the more challenging hike to Ella Rock - not forgetting the nine arch bridge where you can walk along the tracks, capture some nice photos and hopefully see a train pass by (the times are available online, in the station and also noted on a tree at the nine arch bridge itself). We took the scenic path through the woods (where this photo was taken) from the main road - the sign is difficult to spot if you’re not walking from town side, it’s pinned on google maps and we added a photo there of what to look out for. . We stayed at The One Ella for a few nights, with an amazing breakfast included. Dom and his team (Clint and Chatu) were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed - the accommodation is conveniently located at the start of the little adams peak path and comprises of two separate Vilas - each with balcony and small terrace garden. The balcony has comfortable chairs, table and a hammock where you can relax and look out towards Ella Rock. There are some places to eat nearby and the walk into town takes around 15-20mins along the main road.
