"My name is Fadi Obeid, a young Palestinian from Gaza. In a matter of moments, I lost everything—my home, my dreams, my future. Now, all I have left is my father, but he is gravely ill, and I am desperately trying to save him.

My father suffers from chronic kidney failure and urgently needs regular dialysis, but in Gaza, hospitals barely function, medicine is scarce, and transportation is nearly impossible due to fuel shortages. Every day, I watch his condition worsen, unable to get him the treatment he needs. With no way to work or earn money, I am left with no choice but to ask for help.

I have nothing left, but I refuse to give up. Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward saving my father’s life. If you cannot donate, please share my story—it could reach someone who can help.

Our first short goal

My friend Noah is living off very little in a house of three people and nobody in the household has a job due to disability and just how hard it is to get a job currently.

It took a lot for him to feel vulnerable enough to even make a gofundme and I’d really like to see him and his family do better and get to eat more often.

His description:

I live with my father (63) and my brother (14), in Section 8 housing. My family makes very little money through SSDI, specifically my father, who is unable to work, and my brother is too young. I (18) am actively searching for a job, though with no luck so far, and as I am the only one able to work, it has put a strain on us. A heavy one. We hardly have any money once bills are paid we are left with almost nothing. The most we’ve been left with in the past months was $30. We make $245 off of SNAP food stamps, though this has proven to never be enough for any of us.

We also have no beds, no washer or dryer, nor do we have any furniture except for one recliner. My dad sleeps on an air mattress with a hole, my brother sleeps in the chair, and I sleep on the floor.

My name is Jalma Karima, and I am reaching out for your help. Life in Gaza has become a relentless nightmare for my mother, my siblings, and me. Since losing my father in an airstrike, my mother has carried the weight of protecting us through unimaginable challenges. Our once-peaceful home has turned into a battleground where safety is no longer possible.

We dream of Escaping this violence and Rebuilding our lives in Safety, but the cost of Travel, Relocation, and Legal documentation is far beyond our reach. Your support can help us cover these Critical expenses: safe passage out of Gaza, temporary housing, legal fees for refugee documentation, and basic essentials like food and medical supplies to sustain us through this journey. The holiday season is upon us, and for many, it’s a time of joy, family, and celebration. But for us, the LGBTQ refugees in East Africa, it’s also a time of challenges. As traders in the camp prepare to close their tents early to spend the holidays with their families, the prices of goods are already rising. This makes it even harder for us to secure food and essentials.

This holiday , we’re launching a two-week fundraising campaign with a goal of $1,222 to help us celebrate this festive season. Our plan is simple but meaningful: to share a special meal together one that will bring us a moment of joy, unity, and hope. For many of us, this could be our last celebration in Africa, as we dream of resettlement and a brighter future free from the horrors of homophobia and transphobia.

Here’s how you can help:

• $10: Feeds one person with a hearty, special meal.

• $25: Feeds three people, giving them a taste of joy this holiday season.

Imagine the impact of sparing just $5 it’s the cost of a coffee or a snack, but for us, it’s a chance to feel valued, to laugh, and to forget, even briefly, the struggles of our daily lives.

We’re currently only 21 individuals for this budget,but together, we’re a community. Your contribution will help us stock up on food before prices skyrocket, ensuring that we have everything we need for a beautiful celebration.
