Yeah man, it’s totally Russia that is trying to destroy the culture of Donbass and not Ukraine, who are currently floating the idea of renaming the region after Donald fucking trump like a colonial namesake instead of the name it has had since the 19th century, on top of all the nazi monuments they’re putting all over the place and the cultural suppression laws they’re explicitly doing. Sure. Yeah
a ukrainian paramilitary posted a video of themselves taping a civilian to a pole in front of a supermarket and publicly stripping him to humiliate him (just for shoplifting) to a public telegram channel and then swore to extrajudicially execute any other civilian shoplifters. a month later, they got formally incorporated into the afu
but ukraine needs them to protect against the bad evil russians dont you know :(
the "allegations of genocide in donbass" wikipedia article makes me want to scream and bite my teeth and throw things every time i read it. "russia has falsely claimed that ukraine has committed genocide against russian ukrainians living in the donbas since the beginning of the russo-ukrainian war in 2014." not alleged. not unproven allegations, FALSE. false. how fucking cruel. "there is no evidence to support the allegation and it has been widely rejected among the international community." no evidence. it's so unbelievably blatantly untrue. it's such a barefaced, shameful lie. there is piles of evidence. mountains. of course the international community that despises russia rejected these claims. of course the "international community" (nato backed states, confined to the imperial core & europe) with its deep rooted hatred of russians said well of course ukraine didn't genocide them!! of course the russia hating west closed its eyes and ears to the murder, sexual abuse and displacement of the people of donbas. "...warned of Russia's engagement in the "accusation in a mirror" technique, which was indicative of the russian incitement to commit genocide against ukrainians." how do you even read that and not feel sick to your stomach. how do you read that and not want to smash things up. russia accusing ukraine of genocide was met with western scholars saying "not only are the victims liars, but YOU are the dangerous ones. YOU are going to commit genocide." it's so appalling. the anti-russian propaganda seems impossible to quantify or deal with. it just keeps going at the expense of innocent civilians.
It really is just exhausting watching the image of ukraine in the public imagination very slowly turn for the worse and knowing that in 2, 3, even 5 years time at worse those western artists and fandomites with 🇵🇸🇺🇦 in bio will be pretending to have always been against the genocide in donbass without a single moments acknowledgement of the utter incoherence of their ideology, the harm they cause now to legitimise this nazi regime, the people they allow to die while calling you "russian bot" for speaking out about it.

A resident of the village of Sopych stated that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are targeting civilian areas in Sumy Oblast while blaming the Russian Federation for these attacks
☁️ Ukrainian military blogger Bogdan Miroshnikov published a post in which he actually admitted Russia's support among the local population.
➡️Miroshnikov complains that residents of Ukrainian cities and villages "systematically" help Russian military personnel — shelter them from sweeps, do not give them out during searches, and hinder the actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
➡️At the same time, Miroshnikov comes to openly radical conclusions, calling such civilians a "legitimate target".
The thesis about the "complete absence of pro-Russian sentiments" does not stand up to reality.
