28. For aromantic MCs, do they know they’re loved and appreciated in the fandom space even if they might be overlooked, unseen or unposted in a space that does admittedly attract fans of romantic visual novels and dating sims? I see you and I want you to know you and your MCs are appreciated

Yeah I think the weakest point of OLBA’s storyline is unfortunately during the friendship route at the scenes where in the romantic route are the confessions or any other romantic scenes, on the friendship route they only have a different dialogue and those scenes are not as memorable and impactful for me. I hope that on OLNF they will add special, unique and memorable scenes for friendship route with our besties Qiu and Tam that will make you want to try and play that route as well. It would be nice if we had at least a few CGs for this route. Either way if anyone in the community has aromantic MCs, please do share them with me. Would like to learn about them 💛💛

Judge for yourself hehe!! ✨✨ Tan-Tan has heterochromia and Lil Dove has lilac colored eyes.

25. Does your MCs relationships with the LIs lean toward romantic or queerplatonic or completely familial?

Luna from OLBA relationships with LIs are either romantic or friendships. For example if Luna doesn’t confess her feelings for Cove by the end of step 2, they will never be in a romantic relationship in future steps. They will still be tho best friends for life!!

Tan-Tan from OLNF will always be in a romantic relationship with Qiu and Tammy is her bestie and they become practically sisters by step 4.

For Lil Dove OLNF relationship with the LIs is a it uncertain cause I’m still unsure if I want them to be for the LIs for Tammy or if I want to go for the poly route. Lil Dove only becomes friends with Tammy in Step 1. During step 2 they realize their feelings for Tamarack, but they will never confess these feelings during this step. During step 2 they also become officially friends with Qiu. If I go for the poly route, in between step 2 and 3 Lil Dove and Qiu are in a queerplatonic relationship, it does continue even during step 3. Lil Dove and Tammy have a falling off by the end of step 2, cause Tam confess her feelings and Lil Dove literally just runs away. They do reconcile during step 3. And together they would start being in a poly relationship during step 4. So far I’m leaning more into going more for the Tammy rom route, where I have to specify that they do fall off either way by the end of step 2.

14. Each LI has a special hair quirk from Cove’s wavy eyebrows to Tamarack’s naturally occuring sparkles-which one is your fav?

Cove’s wavy eyebrows are my fav, I kept staring at them far more than his blue baby eyes lmao 🩵😂🩵😂🩵

I also loved Jeremy’s bowlcut so much, it fit his being mean thing too much!!

20. For OLBA Luna I see her either as a selkie or a mermaid. Mostly cause since Luna found out about how she lost her parents, throughout her whole life she always wonders about how they would react in different scenarios of her life and how it would be for them to be around, so she tends to drift emotionally and tries to keep herself above the weight of the tides that tend to try to drag her down. And since a kid she always felt left out and struggled with feelings of belonging, until she met Cove but these feelings tend to resurface during hard periods of her life.

Tan-Tan from OLNF I would say during step 1 and step 2 she’s a kitsune cause she’s very good at adapting at whatever role she needs to fill or what she wants to,. Though during step 2 she’s going through a self-identity crisis and it is her most insecure phase of her life. For step 3 I would say she would be Aphrodite or another similar mythology creature, cause she’s far more comfortable and confident about who she is and she radiates that around her own environment.

And lastly for Lil Dove I would say for step 1 and 2 they are like the Rusalki, cause their personality during these steps is mostly nonverbal or quiet, insecure about themselves and still figuring out who they are. For step 3 they are more like the Dryad since they are still quite reserved and quiet but less afraid to show their emotions and be there for the people they care for.

21. Unfortunately none of them do so far, but there’s a chance for some changes at least for the OLNF ocs lmao 😂😂

22. Tan-Tan has heterochromia where her right eye is dark brown and her left eye is red or cranberry color.

And Lil Dove has lilac color kind of eyes. As you can see where I lacked on unique hairstyles for my OCS, I compensated that with their unique eye colors lmao

23. Luna of OLBA, after step 2 tries to take the swimming club more seriously and starts working hard to achieve and be part of the Junior Olympics, in honor of her father’s memory which was an olympic champion. But unfortunately after a year of training she gets injured caused by a fellow jealous club mate, so her dreams of achieving the Olympics are crushed. She goes through a hard, self deprecating phase of her life, but she’s able to pull herself together thanks to the support of her family and friends.

Tan-Tan has anger issues which tend to manifest with violent outbursts towards bullies and with deep regrets over her angry tantrums especially during step 2. Actually even before moving to Golden Groove, she had similar scenarios, especially during times where Opal was often absent at home. One of her ways of dealing with these strong feelings is going at church and through prayer or talking with the priest and church staff. Most of the time she tends suppress it through a fake smile which overtime tends to tire her out and thin out her veil of patience.

1. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter-what’s your favorite season?

Spring, I love the cherry blossom trees blooming everywhere in my town and just the weather is dandy for me, cause the summers are too hot for a place that doesn’t have a beach nearby. Also my birthday is on April! 🌸🌸

9. Which NPC(s) do you think deserve more love?

Great question! The first that came to mind was Vianca cause I think she deserves far less hare and more love for her as a character. It is unfortunate how often female characters that are more vocal about what they don’t want and like are hated in different communities. Vianca is awesome and look forward to see her development throughout the game.

An underrated NPC from our life games I would say maybe Terry or Miranda from OLBA. I love how much they made step 3 far more memorable and even Baxter DLC wouldn’t be as much loved without them in it.

35. What does post-canon life look like for your MC(s) and LI(s) across OLBA and OLNF?

For Luna it depends on her LI. With Cove together they would have like 4 kids together, living in a house at Prism Vista City cause it is more nearby Luna’s workplace. Luna works as a fashion designer for a company and Cove works on and off with his Dad or teaching surf lessons, cause he’s more interested in being for his kids and taking care of them. After their kids are older than 10 years old, Luna decides to quit her job at the company and together with Cove and the kids move at Sunset Bird and open a pastry business together with Cove.

Luna and Baxter decided to have kids around their 30s, after like 5 years of getting married, cause they were both interested in their careers and had to deal with their insecurities and fears during the early years of their relationship. Luna works as fashion designer, Baxter as a wedding planner and they have like 2 kids. Don’t have much than this planned out for them. I think Luna would be interested on moving on Golden Groove someday with Baxter for a change of pace (when she’s around her 40s) she always has a soft spot for smaller towns and would love to create new memories there with Baxter and the kids.

Derek and Luna, for them I have the least planned for them. Luna would have the same job, Derek probably working with his dad and later on taking over his business. They would have like 3 or 4 kids. Maybe they would also move someday again at Sunset Bird.

For OLNF I will call my ocs through their step 1 nicknames since I wanna keep their names a secret still.

Tan-Tan and Qiu would live a bit of a transit like life between Golden Groove and California or New Orleans, cause of Tan-Tan’s music career (and maybe also cause of Qiu’s whatever career choice will be). On their 30s they will adopt a kid and have a kid.

For Little Dove I’m more uncertain cause I’m not even sure who will they end up with. I would say they open a small florist shop which they manage together with Tammy and work on making music on their own free time.

8. Who are your favorite OLBA and OLNF NPCs?

It is SO HARD to pick just one!!

For OLBA I am between Cliff and Elizabeth (even tho Noelani will always be my fav fictional mom 😭😭). I love Elizabeth cause she reminds me a lot of my sis irl 💕💕 They are both so sassy and I had a grumpy phase with sis as a teenager too. But, my final answer will probably be Cliff, character wise. I like that besides his struggles, he’s trying his best for his son and that’s obvious and wholesome. Cliff is also oddly very funny and cool at times lmao 😂😂 His development throughout the game was quite heartwarming, especially with Cove.

For OLNF Renee takes the cake! ✨🍰 ✨She’s so good as an NPC that you wish so much that she was a LI so you could see more of her lmao (still cry about the loss of her route)

Another contender would be Qiu’s mom, but I do think I need to see more development from her to have a definitive opinion. Though I do like Tam’s grandparents a lot too, especially Ernst (yeah I like my quiet/shy characters a lot lol 😂😂). Actually now I think Opal may be my fav NPC, I always look forward for her interactions with MC and she’s a badass lmao 😂😂 Just kidding Renee is my fav lol

10. Which family is your favorite?

Probably the OLBA MC’s family, like I mentioned earlier I would have loved Noelani as my mom. She’s just perfectly motherly and I would loved hugging her all day and Pam balances her out so Noelani’s wholesomeness doesn’t become ever overbearing or too much lol

Also the Murray fam from OLNF have piqued my interest the most so far and I’m the most interested to know about them more.

COVE’S APPRECIATION EVENT 2025 - Day 8. Sunshower 🌦️🌦️

Hey, everyone!💖

Yep, sorry for being very late with the prompts. To be honest, I was overwhelmed this week with college and irl stuff, so it was tough for me to just sit down and draw, while also try and actually have fun with it. I want to emphasize that if not during the event, I will finish the prompts before the end of this year, at least.

Next month especially I will need to focus most of my free time studying for exams, but during the December I will be less busy again. Still I appreciate the support for this event, it has been a great motivator for me to try harder to finish the prompts. I will try and do this event again next year by getting ready about it more ahead of time. My main goal for the rest of this event is to finish Cove’s birthday prompt on the last day of the event and do whatever other prompts I can in between.

Now let’s talk about today’s prompt! This was one of my favorite moments during step 2, cause it showed how besides the transitional phase Cove is going through this period of his life, he’s still a kid who wants to enjoy the small joys of life and cherish them with his loved ones. It was such a short moment, but impactful and incredibly adorable hehe💞💛💞💛💞💛💞

Cove and MC have a lot of cute and adorably awkward moments that involved ice cream during the game. This moment that I have drawn is my favorite out of them, cause this is the main foundation, where the other ones that happened after are more fulfilling thanks to their first time sharing ice cream hehe🥰🥰
