Behold the closest we canonically have to adult Buddy (This is from a dream he has at the end of the Big City 4-parter)

My thoughts?

Well I applaud they tried to make him still look like Buddy and not blend in with every other full-sized T-rex in this show, which is literally just copies/reskins of Dolores and Boris... *sigh*

But my god the proportions still needed a lot of work... they kept his snout's iconic roundness, but too round... Why is his whole head so terribly bloated???

Also let's talk about the pteranodon triplets in this dream - From my memory, they never seemed to have any change, but upon rewatch Don seems to have been modified to be slightly larger

Tiny and Shiny however still seem to have no change, which is disappointing.

Yeah, I know realistically male pteranodons are larger than females, but if Don got changed in this dream, they could've made an effort for both sisters as well. C'mon, man...

Don, from another part of Pteranodon Terrace: MOOOOMMMMMMMM!

Mrs. Pteranodon: [squawks and flies towards her son] What is it? What's wrong?

Don, rummaging through his collection, looking panicked: No, it's not here either! [Tossed a diamond over his shoulder]

Mrs. Pteranodon: You lost something in your collection!

Don: Not just anything! The amber with a Cretaceous bug inside! It's gone! [Continues to rummage through his collection, chucking obsidian over his shoulder]

Mrs. Pteranodon: I'm sorry, honey! I'll help you look-

Don: [bursts into tears, holding his head as he's surrounded by collection] That amber is important! I-I had this feeling!

Mrs. Pteranodon, piecing it together: Pierce...?

Don, looking up to his mom in tears: I don't want to accuse anybody, but...

Mrs. Pteranodon: [clenches her fist] They live at Western Interior Sea Beach side station. We can go there tonight and get it back!

Tiny, sensing adventure and the need to beat someone up: [lands] Where are we going? Why-Don? You okay?

Don: My amber!

Tiny: Pierce!

Mrs. Pteranodon: Tiny no.

[At the nest.]

Mrs. Pteranodon: So Don and I are going to go ask for it back. I know Sheryl and Peter will sort this out.

Tiny: I'm going too!

Mrs. Pteranodon: No. No you are not.

Tiny: Butbutbutbut-

Buddy: I'll come, if Don wants company.

Don: I... I do... I'm terrible at keeping secrets, and I don't want Gilbert to know that I lost the amber! He'll think I threw it away on purpose because I don't like him or something!

Shiny: He would never!

Mrs. Pteranodon: Shiny's right, Don. You don't need to worry about Gilbert holding it against you. But if you want someone to join you, Buddy is welcome to come along.

Tiny: Why can't I come along!

Shiny: You know why, Tiny.
