Some of the things on the list are idiosyncratic, and belong to a different time, place and culture. Some of them seem to be slightly at odds with each other, or at least in my thinking of it.
The things on there that I like: 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, 19. What about you?
The Dokkōdō 獨行道 (The Path of Aloneness) is a short work composed by Miyamoto Musashi a week before he died in 1645. Dokkōdō expresses a stringent, honest, and ascetic view of life.

If you wish to be a warrior, prepare to be broken. If you wish to be an explorer, prepare to get lost. If you wish to be a lover, prepare to be both.
“Eternity can be a curse. It hasn't been easy for your, living without time. The losses you have had to suffer. A man can run out of things to live for. Lose his purpose. Become a Ronin. A samurai without a master.”
Lone Wolf and Cub by Bidium
For those who are not familiar with the tale of Lone Wolf and Cub, it revolves around a former Shogun Executioner named Ogami Itto.
He was a loyal servant to the Shogun until he was betrayed by the Yagyu Clan which resulted in the ultimate destruction of the Ogami Clan.
His wife hid her son during the attack on their residence, and died, along with the other Samurai, retainers and servants who tried to protect her.
Ogami, returned to the massacre only to be accused by the killers that their reason for doing it was to prevent Ogami from overthrowing the Shogun.
As they knew how loyal and close he is to the Shogun, they see him as a threat that needs to be removed and planted evidence of his supposed treachery.
Due to the presence of overwhelming evidence and traitors who acted as witnesses, Ogami was ordered to commit Sepukku but he defied them.
He killed them all after realizing what has transpired and identified the real culprit who orchestrated the entire saga, Retsudo Yagyu.
He escaped with his son, and became fugitives or outlaws, forever hunted by the Shogun’s men, Yagyu assassins and bounty hunters.
Ogami, aware of what lies before him, offers his son a choice. To be happy and join his mother, or prepare for hardship and join him towards the path of hell.
Daigoro, chose to be with his father, when he goes towards his sword instead of the play ball belonging to his late mother.
And from then, on, they wander across Japan, waiting for the right moment to extract revenge on those who betrayed the Ogami Clan.
Lone Wolf and Cub was originally a manga published in the 70s before it was adapted to movies and tv series, with different actors as Ogami Itto.
