since i’m apparently in yap mode today. 100% the only reason why grace’s movie scar looks the way it does is because movie sfx makeup people don’t know how burns work or what burn scars look like. from the amount of time rocky was in direct contact with him, grace would have gotten a very deep burn that would have taken AGES to heal without a skin graft. i have a burn scar on my leg that i estimate is probably like 1/4 to 1/3 the size of rocky’s hand, from a piece of heated metal that probably wasn’t as hot as rocky’s carapace and wasn’t in contact with my skin for nearly as long, and the scar looks way thicker and gnarlier than what they gave grace in the movie. and like, yes different individuals heal differently, but if you want there to be muscle or tendon damage, or loss of mobility due to the scar tissue contracting as it heals, imo thats completely possible. i like his cute lil movie scar, but let’s all scuff him up a bit more!
