Jimmima's character, especially her role within the group and her relationship with Jimmy, is so badly misunderstood. Which frustrates me a bit because I thought the subtext was pretty clear.
Most people have picked up on the fact the she's clearly favored over and has more privileges then the others, but I never see people discuss why that is. I also commonly see people misinterpret their relationship as a sort of father/daughter duo, which I can almost understand in a sense with Jimmy being the older one, but it's truly a lot more twisted then that.
Jimmima is the parent. Jimmima is Jimmy's mom. Jimmy clearly in some way projects his mother onto her and has her wear it as a badge of honor.
Clearest examples being the brooch/pin that she wears that says "mother", and her name literally being Jimmima or "Jimmy-Ma".
But what i find especially interesting about this is the fact that Jimmima is a little over ten years younger then Jimmy.
And going off of the little bit of character context we get and my own personal theories, I assume she met Jimmy and joined his group when she was a child. Meaning she was not only indoctrinated into a cult and made to torture people from a young age, but was further singled out and isolated from the others so Jimmy could personally groom her into being his replacement mother.
You can see the effects this had on her in multiple ways, one being her constant insistence at always being by Jimmy's side and sticking close. She also seems more desperate to entertain and please him then the others.
I also think Jimmy entrusting her with the sacred Teletubbies lore, and nobody else, is probably one of the ways he kept her feeling special and more involved then the others. Sharing pieces of his past and coaching her to act in a way that constantly brings forth a wave of comfort and nostalgia.
She also constantly keeps up this unbothered playful facade, most likely because that's what keeps Jimmy satisfied along with providing her with a mental/emotional wall of sorts. But during the "Charity" scene in the barn you can see it's taking a toll on her. Even though she's probably done this time and time again, she's still crying.
