By the way, on the topic of “you don’t need to buy things to feel more animal”, may I add that you don’t need to participate in a job or higher education to be more animal either. I feel like in the therian community it’s stressed to do something lifetime-wise that relates somehow back to your animality, like being a vet or whatnot, when that’s not an option for dare I say most and is quite condescending if you look at it from the perspective of how plenty of therians are Autistic & Autistic individuals tend to be unable to do these things. You’re not missing out on animality for not being able to do any of this. You’re not. The internet likes to make it seem that everyone around you who is similar to you in some aspect (ie: other therians) are capable of “doing better”, but that’s not how it is in reality. We are just animals because we just are.
