Dod Procter RA (born Doris Margaret Shaw; 1890 – 1972) was an early twentieth-century English artist, best known for Impressionistic landscapes and delicate "nearly sculptural studies of solitary female subjects." Her sensual portrait, Morning, of a fisherman's daughter in Newlyn, caused a sensation. It was bought for the public by the Daily Mail in 1927. via W
