she does cool stuff with the stories around dobrynya and his wife and the differences between the figure from legend and the historical guy he was likely based on but i'm not actually qualified to talk abt that, one of my friends is really into russian stories so i nod vehemently when they talk abt that but don't have enough grasp on it to do the explaining myself. if they see this post this is an open invitation to expand on that part.

the part i CAN talk about is that i'm just a huge fan of how she's a really thoughtful person as in she literally spends a large chunk of her lines just going "hmmmmmmmm" and thinking very hard about how to best say what she means but the shit that comes out of her mouth is still "our relationship is that you're like my favourite horse" or "use this knife to kill yourself" just the bluntest rudest shit imaginable

but it's really heartfelt! dobrynya's horse meant the world to him he went through hell and back for that animal it's not a comparison made lightly. her valentines gift is clearly supposed to carry the message of "I want to give you the power to choose your own future and I support whatever you make of it" but what she does is she gives you a knife and tells you to fight for survival until you can't take it anymore at which point you should kill yourself. then she awkwardly stands around thinking very hard about how to broach the next subject which is asking how her little girl koyanskaya is doing. and then she tells you to give koyanskaya this box of animal treats which is again an incredibly rude gift with very heartfelt sentiments of wanting to let her fucked up animal daughter know she loves and accepts her for what she is, but what she actually comes up with is "hmmm chocolate is bad for animals i have to get something more appropriate"

her personality is the equivalent of accidentally ripping the door off its hinges bc she was trying to be considerate and not just barrel right through it. she's undeniably kindhearted but sucks absolute ass at actually being nice not even for lack of friendliness she just lacks any sense of scale or appropriateness bc she like lives on a scale where it's normal to be able to crush someone's skull like an egg and even her best attempts at being considerate are threatening
