Right now I am very Monica/Chandler and very Clarke/Lexa and the recent descent into Roy/Riza hell shows no sign of stopping any time soon. As ever, the big four: Amy/Eleven, Matt/Kaz, Harry/Hermione. boyband hell.

B - A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind

I feel like...I’m too stubborn...For this to ever happen. I either ship something pretty immediately or I decide that I really, really don’t. I guess MAYBE April/Andy from Parks and Rec. I initially hated it and now I don’t mind it so much. But I wouldn’t say I ship it? Nah.

C - A ship you have never liked and probably never will (be nice)

I feel like Bellamy/Clarke is applicable here, like, I went in expecting it to be this BIG THING that was exactly my type - from what I’d seen on tumblr it really was MY EXACT TYPE - but then I started the show and I don’t....see it...at all??? They’re obviously very good friends and they rely on each other a lot now, but I don’t see any romantic subtext at all, which is really unusual for me tbh.

D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t (again: be nice)

Life would be so much easier if I at least tolerated Ron/Hermione. And yet.

E - Have you added anything cracky/hilarious to your fandom, if so, what

I once managed to make myself really sad about a crossover between Amy/Eleven and the boyband hell. That was cracky beyond belief and I won’t apologise for it.

F - What’s the longest you’ve ever been in a fandom

I mean, Harry Potter, literally started in another century. But I wasn’t actively in the fandom for all that time, obviously...Maybe Doctor Who? Like that’s where I’ve been ACTIVE and CREATIVE the longest, since 2008 ish.

G - Do you remember your first OTP, if so who was in it

Listen all you need to know about me really is that one time I spent half an hour convincing my best friend’s mum that the hug is more important than the handshake at the end of the Chamber of Secrets movie. I was eight.

H - What is your favorite source text for fandom stuff (e.g., tv shows, movies, books, anime, Western animation, etc.)

I’ve gotten most heavily invested in TV shows for fandom stuff, probably because they’re ongoing, but book series and movie series (like Marvel) also qualify.

I - Has tumblr caused you to stop liking any fandoms, if so, which and why

I did come pretty close to leaving the Doctor Who fandom like a year and a half ago? But I ended up just narrowing my circle and keeping to corners of fandom where I knew I wasn’t going to a come across things that made me stressed out. I’ve also avoided fandom conflict like CRAZY since then tbh.

J - Name a fandom you didn’t care/think about until you saw it all over tumblr

I literally started The 100 the day after the Clarke/Lexa kiss.

K -Say something nice about someone in any of your fandoms

OH GOD THERE ARE TOO MANY NICE PEOPLE. Okay just at random I’ll pick one to mention here and it’s effie214​ - we hardly run in the same fandom circles anymore but I love her to bits, she’s always got the nicest things to say and a friendly ear if you need to rant, and she’s also HILARIOUS and doesn’t take any bullshit and a FANTASTIC WRITER like I have read so many of her tagfics for fandoms I’m not even in because they’re so good.

L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves (chars you’re neutral on are fair game, as are chars you dislike)

Well Ron Weasley is a great character, honestly, his arc is so important to the narrative and he has his real shining moments of GOOD FRIENDSHIP (staying at Hogwarts to keep Harry company!!!) and BRAVERY (I’ll be a knight!!!) and HILARITY (I must not look like a baboon’s backside!!!!) honestly he’s a giant dork sometimes he’s alright.

M - Say something genuinely nice about a ship that you don’t ship (or its shippers, or anything related to you)

OH GOD. Okay. I will say that the potential of “time travelling in opposite directions” for River/Eleven was really very good. And I almost got super invested in it based solely on that. Like when I heard River Song was coming back? Based just on her s4 episodes I was really excited! It had a lot of great potential! There. Done. That’s all I’ve got.

Okay the last song I played on youtube is Sunday from Sunday in the Park with George. Which.....Hmmm....I mean I have like this very very vague connection between that show and Amy/Eleven in my head? I’m aware it doesn’t fit completely, obviously, like there aren’t that many exact points where they overlap, but I’m like embarrassingly invested in this sad painter AU anyway.

P - Invent a random AU for any fandom (we always need more ideas)

I mean sad painter AU? Does that count? Or alternatively I’ve been playing with a childhood penpal AU for Amy/Eleven, but I don’t want to talk to much about it yet because it’s very much in progress.

Q - A ship you’ve abandoned and why

I actually remembered the other day that I used to watch New Girl? And I can’t even remember why I stopped, I think I just lost interest, idk. But I was definitely very into Nick/Jess and Cece/Schmidt.

R - A pairing you ship that you don’t think anyone else ships

OH MY GOD I ACTUALLY HAVE ONE. I’ve done a LOT of tag hunting and scrolling and searching various combinations of their names, and to this day I haven’t found a single other person who ships Gigi/Lizzie from LBD. Not that I like HARDCORE SHIP IT, I just think it’d be cute, and I definitely enjoyed their Pemberley interactions. But i mean. Dizzie is VERY IMPORTANT TO ME so I mostly enjoy it as like a cracky side pairing.

S - Show us an example of your personal headcanon (prompts optional but encouraged)

PROMPTS ENCOURAGED, JILL. Okay fine fine fine let’s have a headcanon... I’m gonna go on a slightly different tack here and talk about James Potter/Lily Evans and honestly all I have to say is that their first actual “date” date was awful. They went to Hogsmeade and both had NO IDEA WHAT TO SAY and it was all a bit stressful, tbh, because James was like OHGODIT’SFINALLYHAPPENINGI’MONADATEWITHLILYOHMYGODWHATIFSHEHATESME and Lily was just trying to deal with all these NEW but SOMEHOW VERY ARDENT emotions she apparently has when walking next to James Potter??? What a weird development??? And they were both so nervous and overthinking it and it was also really awkward just sitting in Madam Puddifoot’s. And eventually James just kind of drags her to the Three Broomsticks to hang out with Remus and Sirius and Peter, and it immediately calms down and is chill and natural and FUN TO HANG OUT TOGETHER, and they end up drinking way too many Butterbeers so eventually trying to get served in the Hog’s Head seems like a REALLY GOOD IDEA, and by this point Lily and James are like DISGUSTINGLY CUDDLY AND TOUCHY and her hand keeps creeping up his leg and she keeps giggling and it’s all very disgusting. And then hours later they’re snogging furiously on a sofa in the Hog’s Head while Aberforth tries to clean around them.

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything)

BISEXUAL REMUS LUPIN. Honestly I will go to the grave defending this one.

I mean isn’t everyone at least passingly familiar with Supernatural? Although I haven’t actually seen any recent posts at all, which I guess means I don’t follow many people who still watch it. Interesting. But I can definitely hold a conversation about Once Upon A Time, Castle, Arrow, and Outlander.
