Half of the school year has passed and things were getting shaky, projects were being handed out left and right and teachers were getting grouchier the minute. But guess what, a transferee just happened to fit himself in these hard time, and not just a transferee, an INTERNATIONAL transferee, namely Korean.
It was a Wednesday morning, everyone has just settled into their seats when suddenly the homeroom teacher has entered the room with an unfamiliar face.
âOkay class we have a new studentâ he says; and gesturing to the boyâplease introduce yourselfâ
Standing straight in front of he whole class hands at his sides and back straight, he looked very nervous nevertheless he introduced himself,
âHello everyone ! My name is Lee Seokmin; I like singingâ he smiles widely and bows, âplease take care of me! lets all be friendsâ
Looking around you see the girls have just silently looked at him in awe, an pushing one another. he sure does look handsome compared to the other guys in the class, sharp features, tall and lanky figure.
The teacher scans the room, looking around for something. His eyebrows raise and points to something awfully near you,
âSeokmin, sit there beside that girl, YoNaâ you were not mad but just surprised, but this excites you thinking you will make a new friend.
Making his way to the seat next to you, occasionally bumping his bag to other tables and apologizing. Once he arrived you cheerfully waved at him and he smiles at you,
âHi ! My name is YoNaâ extending an hand in the small space between your tables he reaches out too and you shake kinda violently.
âIt is nice to meet youâ he says a bit slowly, You guess he is still trying to get into english,
âYouâre cute â you say and give a small giggle, Seokmin sheepishly smiles and the teacher begins class.
Mid class you notice that Seokmin was struggling with something, you peer over his note book and see a bunch of messy notes; he seems to write whatever the teacher is saying. You pat unto his shoulder and he quickly turns to you,
âIf you have trouble understanding, just ask meâ you whisper and pointing to yourself as habit. And he shows his toothy grin,
âThanks youâ he whispers back.
The bell strikes as it signifies it lunch time, inviting you Seokmin to eat lunch with you and to meet your other friend. You both head to the canteen where you meet your friend,Joshua.
âHey Shua ! Meet Seokmin, Seokmin meet Joshuaâ you say as you both sit on the table,
âHello Joshua, it is nice to meet youâ
âIt is nice to meet you tooâ the three of you open up your packed lunches and to see rice and vegetables and meat and stuff. Looking over at Seokminâs lunch you see that on the side there were sausages made to look like little octopuses,
âAwww that so cute~!!â You coo, âwho made your lunch ?â
âI made my lunchâ he says scratching the backs of his neck,
âOh! Thatâs really cuteâ you smile and then the three of you proceeded to eating lunch.
Suddenly Shua spoke in korean and Seokminâs eyes widen and spoke in korean too. Ast first their tone sounded like in questioning tones so Shua must be asking some thing and same for Seokmin. Now they have a different tone a more friendly tone and they just keep talking and talking, so now they are having this conversation that you could only get bits of phrases but not understanding entirely. You look at Seokmin and you see that he looks more relaxed and less tense he was smiling very much and Shua seems to enjoy whatever they are talking about.
âYou guys sound so cute, you know?â You say and take a spoonful of rice, âand Korean is such a nice beautiful cute languageâ
The two boys look over to you and they have this soft cheeky smirks and youâre just in like this face âwhats-going-onâ and they two giggled.
âHEY WHATS UP ??â You call out,
âIts nothing YoNaâ Shua says while still smiling,
âYes, it is nothing YoNaâ Seokmin says and scoops and a spoon of rice while everting his eyes,
Weeks have passed and your friendship with Seokmin grew, you two became closer always together as if your hips were attached. Seokmin was naturally friendly and was like a magnet, people or classmates would walk over to him and it seems like they ahve been friends for so long, sometimes even students from other classes would come over and you would just gaze over him whenever he is surrounded by a bunch of students and laugh to yourself.
âYou look so cute whenever people bundle around youâ you would say. Despite being the social butterfly, he would be always seen following you, following you like a duckling to its mother at times.
âSeokmin this is quite cute but We go to different classes at this period !â
And whenever its lunch time or at times you three are together, from broken english later they would slip into korean and sound all exciting even if you donât understand, but you try not to mind cause its must be nerve wracking for Seokmin to speak a language he is not accustomed to, but you sit there thinking âma dudes, Iâm still here ?????â
So there is this project and âmagicallyâ you and Seokmin are partners for it. The project was you had to make a paper about your partner, you both planned to meet the park where the population was very little.
So you both sit under this tree packed lunches and laid down on a plaided sheet that Seokmin brought, and you couldnât help but blurt âCuteâ and the young man slightly scrunching his eye brows and laughing sort of sarcastically.
âOkay lets start with warm up and easy questionsâ you say pulling out a note book and pen out of your bag, and Seokmin nodding,
âTwo teenâ Seokmin says with no hesitation and his face looking like a proud child, you hold your laughter in and the dumbfounded boy looks at you until you Burst laughing ! Waving your hand in the air and hugging your stomach and rolling around, you know ? The whole Hysterical cant breath laughing. And Seokmin just stares at you eyes.
âIm sorry Minie, its just thats its âtwentyâ and not âtwo teenâ HAHAHA you ar so cute !!â Seokmin blushes,
âPlease stopâ he murmers but you still kept laughing, he pleases again but you donât hear him and at the third time you stop laughing as you were sitting back properly. Opening your eyes you see this pouty baby, and you mockingly hold your hand against your chest and exasperate,
âugHHH Soekmin you are just SO cute ! Literally !!â
The next thing you knew both of your hands were grasped, a bit tightly and you hiss a bit in pain.
âCould you STOP calling me cute !â Seokmin snaps, he looks straight into your eyes, your faces inches away from each other you were startled.
âUmm, Seokmin ??â You meep, âthen if youâre not cute then what are you ?â You sounded a bit challenging and sarcastic,
âI A M, HANDSOME !â Your pupils dilate, surprised by what he said, you did not expect his response, â Iam handsome right ? Not always cute ?!â Gears in your head are turning, processing what he is saying,
âSeokmin you are handsome, but youâre cute too !â You giggle and
Seokmin sighs sharply letting you go and laying on the ground.
âHey buddy~ if you want to be called handsome, then sure ill call you handsome ... Seokmin youâre handsome... there, like itâ you say while looking down on the pouty man, his cheeks puffed and slowly turns to a shade of red. And you laugh at this baby.
âI like cuteâ you say to the wind,
And Seokmin smiles widely and looking uo to the sky, âI like youâ he says to the wind,
