Personally I would've loved if she had been a squadmate and a full romance for both Ryders. Her loyalty mission could've possibly had something to do with angaran relics, since that's her gimmick. Think I rambled something like that in the original post and I pretty much still think the same way.
As for Avela herself - she's cute and passionate about her job but bit awkward in a relatable way. At least to me. 😂 Jaal is a wonderful romance imo and it would've been great to have more depth in Avela's route since her content is very lacking. It's mostly limited to fetching things for her (understandable considering the time limit the game team had) and light flirting, some in-depth conversations would've added some nice bonding moments. Or showing her around Tempest and maybe meeting some of the crew, having a date at Aya/Nexus? The potential is certainly there.
