it was hot. too hot. Daisy desperately needed to leave this so very hot studio and go for a walk. maybe, coincidentally, ending up somewhere where she can buy some substances to help her through this heat without bashing Billy’s head into a wall. one could only dream.

the rest of the band had left to go on break and Teddy had done the same, locking the studio behind him and forgetting about the singers still working on their songs. waves of heat hit Billy, beads of sweat dripping down his skin. it was too hot.

“it would be better if we had a tour boat, don’t you think?” Daisy starts up. Billy offers her a confused glance. “instead of being stuck here cooking inside this studio we could’ve just jumped off the edge of the boat and cooled down in the water.” she continues, but Billy still doesn’t change his expression. “never mind..”

silence consumes the two again. they’re leant against the wall, trying to absorb the coolness from the tiles. it doesn’t take away from the harsh, relentless heat.

“does the studio have an ac?” Daisy asks, staring at Billy blankly.

“its broken right now, that’s why there’s a small fan outside.” he replies bluntly.

“oh! that reminds me of this one time, i was staying at a hotel in chicago and the ac stopped working in the whole building so instead of an ac they put like ten fans in each room!! their electricity bill must’ve sky rocketed that month.” she rambles on and on and Billy is the only one left that’s forced to listen.

he watches her mouth as she speaks. soft, pink lips moving so gracefully. as she tells her story they curve up into a smile, finding humour in the situation she was put in. it caused a smile to appear on his own face for just a second.

“would it kill you to smile? just once?” Daisy questions in a teasing tone. Billy simply stares back at her, his face unchanging. “would it kill you to stop talking for more than five minutes?”

Daisy gasps in false offence, clutching her shirt and falling back onto the floor. with a hand placed to her head like a distressed maiden she exclaims, “oh Billy!! you truly wound me! how could you ever say such a horrible thing?!” she fails to hide the giggle in her voice, causing an amused smirk to creep it’s way onto Billy’s face.

“oh i’m truly terrible, whatever must i do to make it up to you Daisy Jones?” he plays along much to Daisy’s delight, and she sits up all too quickly.

“..if i tell you, you must promise to mean it!” Daisy says excitedly, her smile growing. Billy pretends to bow, placing his hand over his heart. “i promise Daisy Jones,”

“i think we should get a tour boat” she replies almost instantly. a chuckle escapes from Billy’s lips at her answer.

“we’ll see..”
