In Boruto tbv, the Divine Tree clones aren’t just monsters, they’re mirrors. Each one reflects a fragment of their original’s instincts and desires. But among them, Jura stands apart not because of emptiness like Hidari, but because of awareness.

Jura isn’t only acting on instinct. He studies, questions, observes, and most importantly, he connects.

Through Matsuri, he felt anger, sadness, and a glimpse of romantic love toward Konohamaru.

Through Mamushi, he encountered desire, an obsessive, almost carnal attraction toward Eida.

Through Ryū, he explored filial love, the need of a child reaching toward a father figure, projected onto Gaara.

Through Hidari, we see paternal love twisted and uncertain, directed officially toward Sarada, but expressed with emptiness, doubt, and hesitancy. Hidari’s attention appears distracted and unfixed, hinting at a deeper, unspoken trajectory that seems to connect more with Naruto than with his “official” target. This unpredictability, this inability to neatly categorize his feelings or drive, is what fascinates Jura most.

And through himself, Jura points toward Naruto because Naruto embodies all these forms of love at once: romantic bonds, parental ties, filial devotion, friendship, and compassion.

What sets Jura apart even further is his obsession with the concept of love itself. He repeatedly frames it as a dangerous force, something irrational and potentially destructive, a weakness that must be confronted, controlled, or even eradicated, since the beginning. Unlike the other clones, Jura’s focus isn’t purely survival, it is personal. He is specifically fixated on Naruto, whose unbreakable bonds make him the ultimate “test case” for Jura’s theory.

Within this framework, Hidari becomes crucial. His ambiguity, his apparent inability to fully commit to his official target, and his subtle, indirect trajectory toward Naruto make him the perfect lens through which Jura can study whether love can be neutralized or erased. Hidari embodies the paradox, a clone whose stated objective is one person, yet whose behavior hints at another, revealing the instability and unpredictability of love itself.

Paradoxically, the more Jura observes and learns from the clones, the more he seems to begin to question his own premise. Love may not be merely a “disease” to eliminate. It might also be a force to understand, harness, or even “thrive” on. Naruto, with his extraordinary capacity to form and sustain bonds, forces Jura to confront the possibility that love, while dangerous and irrational, can also be an instrument of power, resilience, and insight.

In short:

Each clone reflects a different type of love.

Jura connects with them all, learning and collecting emotions secondhand.

Hidari is the anomaly, the void that resists definition, and therefore the one Jura studies most closely. His official objective is Sarada, but his ambiguous behavior hints at a deeper, indirect trajectory toward Naruto.

Jura repeatedly frames love as dangerous and irrational, and Naruto becomes the ultimate test case for this theory.

Hidari may be the essential variable that determines whether love can be “erased” or withstand scrutiny.

Paradoxically, Jura’s study suggests that love might not only be a weakness to destroy but also a force to exploit, understand, and perhaps even “thrive” on.

Jura isn’t just the leader of the clones. He is their archivist, their philosopher, their observer of love. Through him, the clones stop being mere monsters and become a meditation on what it truly means to feel, and what it takes to confront, survive, or even harness love itself.

Isn’t it curious?? Jura chooses Hidari, SPECIFICALLY, not just for his target, but for what he cannot control, his pull toward Naruto. Love, in all its unpredictability, becomes the perfect experiment.
