THE WALKING DEAD
10x21 - "Diverged"
A friend is someone who thinks you're perfect even if everyone else thinks you're broken.
Whoever wrote Diverged was just like: how can we make it so clear that these two people love each other even though they are fighting? how can we make it so clear that these two people need each other while barely saying a word about it?

Diverged is a very endearing episode, isn't it?
I really loved that we got to see more of Daryl’s room and how comfy it is. Two things I really liked about it and just wanted to share with you all:
1. This wall here has three drawings of Dog, probably done by RJ because they look like done by a small child, but Judith may also be the artist. It is just sweet to imagine the kids giving Daryl the drawings and he be like WOW, it's really good, thanks' in his soft "uncle Daryl's" voice and then neatly putting them on the wall and getting all emotional about it.
2. I love all the books on the coffee table (it has been established since season 2 that Daryl's a reader, but it's nice to be reminded about it, especially to the GA that may not got that idea from his character), but the comic books really caught my eye. I never thought Daryl would be the kind of person to like comic books so that is a nice surprise to me. At the same time, I can now imagine kid/teen Daryl at school looking curious over other boys' shoulders to get a glance in a comic because he wouldn't have the money to buy them for himself. And Merle and his dad would probably make fun of him for liking them. On the other hand, I can also see Carl being the responsible for making Daryl liking comics, and the fact that he keeps reading them years after the boy's death is incredibly tender of him.
Anyways, stan Uncle Daryl. That’s it. Stan Uncle Daryl. ✨
