#dispatch the game

so ofc, i figured it out

flambae’s sibling maybe asking if he could take his niece out to a local fair or something. whatever it may be, he invited robert since his niece love her new uncle.

his niece is super into one of these (i’ll say knuckles purely for projection) and flambae is so set that he can get it for her.

climbing on some latter he has to balance on and make it to the top? easy.

however, he keep losing hid balance of falling. robert’s watching, trying not to laugh while flambae’s niece is cheering him on. flambae starts spending a ridiculous amount of money to retry over and over again. it gets to a point where it’s painful for both of them to watch him do it, but he won’t back down.

robert takes his niece to ride a couple rides while flambae blows his money. flambae’s niece starts getting a little bummed out after awhile.

they return and robert finally convinces flambae to stop and come spend time with his niece. he’s so bummed out he couldn’t do something that he truly didn’t see as difficult, but more so that he didn’t win something for his niece. he wasted all that time for a dumb game and couldn’t even win something she really wanted.

robert starts to see how bothered flambae is and gets an idea.

they ride a couple rides together and robert disappears saying he was going to get something to drink for everyone. they go on two more rides before flambae thinks they gotta track down his boyfriend bc he’s been gone for so long.

they finally find him after a good ten minutes and he’s holding the giant knuckles plush.

flambae’s niece is overjoyed and flambae can’t help but feel some gay shit or something at the fact robert went out of his way to do something so nice. though, he’s a little irritated he somehow couldn’t do it.

“if it makes you feel any better, i had to spend $30 because i kept falling.” robert says which.. yeah, at least he knew there was some challenge.

chapter one: robert’s an idiot and has avoidance issues and think flambae deserves better

their whole thing is found family and we get good moments, i just wish we focused on that more and saw it through more scenes??? yk???

there’s also everything with FLAMBAE. their dynamic and story they set up for him and robert was so interesting and we BARELY touch on it which sucks 💔

i feel like there would be more to do with that then have him blow up then come back with a joke scene. or if you don’t reveal robert’s mechman, we never see him really get to react to it.
