The animators were given print outs of every frame of the movie and added the hand drawn animation on top of each frame. The massive success of the film rekindled interest in Disney animation, which at this time was a dying art and ushered into the Disney renaissance of the 90s. I’ve created a piece based on each film from this era, in the style of a children’s book illustration! They are drawn digitally on an iPad and take around 8-16 hours each.
