You know your own motives. You want to do something that other people see, feel something about, do something about. There are other reasons, of course, but you want to make your mark on this world. If no one does anything, nothing will happen. And you never had any intention of leaving that responsibility to anyone else.

Blue, light blue, brown, orange, yellow, red, lime. Little bit of everything.

And that’s the thing, isn’t it. Inaction is so fucking easy. It is so fucking easy to convince yourself that you have no chance of succeeding and therefore you shouldn’t even try. You can’t win that fight, you can’t achieve that goal, you’re going to fail, so why start in the first place? What a stupid outlook. Failure is worth so much more than not even trying.

Observers. Ugh.

And spite. “I’m not going to engage with what you’re doing, because that’s what you want me to do, so I’m going to spite you.” As if that was anything but a naked attempt to hide your - laziness, or cowardice, or both. Inaction is the path of least resistance.

Copper bulbs? You’re gonna need to visit a trial chamber for this one.

You’d know all about that, though, wouldn’t you? Though at least some of your spite led you to action. You were still a coward. Betty never wanted you to do anything about those who hurt her, and you listened, but weren’t you relieved, deep down? Wasn’t doing nothing so much easier?

You kick the shulker across the room and it falls over, spilling stacks all over the floor. You sigh and go to pick all of your materials back up.
