This is a fan art of Jindosh I drew a while back… Of course,I rarely make such highly polished illustrations in my normal/regular creative time — it simply drains so much energy.(•̩̩̩̩_•̩̩̩̩) I have lot of unfinished sketches......

So in Dishonored 2, Emily's powers (except Darkvision) are all thematically connected to her status and situation.
Far Reach, Mesmerize, and Domino all represent her status as Empress. Far Reach symbolizes the metaphorical reach of her social and political influence, Mesmerize her ability to influence people and the way she is percieved, and Domino the fact that her choices will have wide-ranging and indirect repurcussions on many people.
The other two powers, Shadow Walk and Doppelganger, instead represent her situation following Delilah's coup. Shadow Walk has her literally transform into a sinister monster lurking in the darkness and doing very unpleasant things to people before turning back into her normal self, just as she is forced to use shady and sometimes quite brutal tactics in order to reclaim her throne, while Doppelganger represents the fact that she has no one to protect her and is forced to rely almost entirely on herself.
This is cool and fun and thematic and all that, but raises the question: Why is this literally just Emily? None of the other characters marked by the Outsider have any apparent thematic connection to their circumstances or personality (you could make a case for one or two powers for a few characters, but the connections are tenuous at best).
Did the Outsider just decide to get creative with her powers or something?
Dishonored - Emily 3rd time I use same lineart, I think. Originally part of 2023s Inktober. One year later with a bit different style - I think I have changed a bit. Again.
