Some may view having a disability as a ticket to free access everywhere. However, the truth is that there should be no competition over it, as everyone is uniquely made and created. A disability does not define us; rather, we are defined by how we navigate life with our disability. I've formed a group with two friends and would like to invite everyone with a disability to join. The group includes a virtual component, ensuring that members can engage beyond merely posting within the group. Start a new chapter with us at the Open Book and discover where the story leads. We're eager to have you join our group. Before joining we ask that you answer the security questions.

In this heartwarming video, I share the inspiring story of Tim, a deaf and blind man traveling alone, and the incredible acts of kindness he experienced. On a flight from Boston, a fellow passenger graciously gave up his aisle seat to ensure Tim's comfort. Despite the challenges, the flight attendants' genuine efforts to assist Tim were touching, and their determination didn't waver. The highlight was when a 15-year-old girl named Clara, who learned ASL due to her dyslexia, stepped up and communicated with Tim, bringing joy to everyone around. This beautiful reminder of human kindness and the dedication of Alaska Airlines' crew will warm your heart.

Chronic Pain & Bookish Dreams
Just wanted to drop a quick note here about something that's been on my mind lately. You know how it is - trying to balance our love for books and writing with the daily struggles of chronic pain can feel like an uphill battle sometimes.
It's tough, isn't it? Wanting to dive into a good book or smash your writing goals during Camp NaNoWriMo, but your body just isn't cooperating. And trying to explain that to others? It's like speaking a different language sometimes.
I know I'm not alone in this, though. That's why I wanted to share a bit of my own experience here. Living with herniated discs, sciatica, and nerve damage means constantly juggling between pushing through the pain and taking care of ourselves. And let's be real - sometimes, self-care falls by the wayside when we're in the thick of it.
But here's the thing: you're not alone. There's a whole community of us out here who get it. We understand the frustration, the worry, and the determination to keep going despite it all.
So, to my fellow chronic pain pals, I see you. I hear you. And I'm here for you. Let's keep sharing our stories, supporting each other, and showing the world that chronic pain warriors can still kick butt - even on the toughest days.
Keep fighting the good fight,
