It's $5 Friday, Disability Pride Month edition! Today, our featured rescue is Helping All Little Things, one of our good friends from back in our active rescue days. Located in Deerfield, NH, HALT is a disabled-owned rescue that specializes in guinea pigs, though they do on occasion take other small mammals. In addition to providing rescue and adoptions for guinea pigs, HALT also cares for a large number of sanctuary animals with special medical needs. They spare no expense to keep their intakes and residents happy and healthy, providing spacious enclosures, excellent diets, and prompt, expert veterinary care.
Recently, they've been having some trouble with their reach on Meta. You may not know this, but the non-profit pages you follow on Facebook often receive funding through engagement, and many rely on that engagement as a vital source of funds. Even if you don't have $5 to spare today, you can help by liking, sharing, and commenting on a rescue's page, and HALT could really use that engagement to keep providing quality care to all of their rescue animals. Please consider following them on Facebook and interacting daily with their content. You benefit, too, by breaking up your doomscroll with cute little guinea pigs and other small mammals. If Facebook is not your thing, they have a social media presence on multiple platforms, including everything below:
