for the anime it was when gligar evolved bc that was one of the first eps i ever saw! i remember seeing gligar and being like “aw cutie i wish ash wasnt so mean to her :(“ and overall finding her cute. and then she evolved and i was like HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUGGGGHHHHHH bc yknow what 8 year old doesnt lose their shit when a little bat bug becomes this giant sick vampire scorpion bat in the moonlight. god that made me so happy its partly why i love gliscor so much. i think part of it was that it was also the very VERY first evolution i witnessed bc i still didnt have pearl at the time and pmd was still my only experience w the series so yknow bonus

for games i thiiink it was when i finally finished platinum again a year or so back! it was a run where i didnt do a nuzlocke or anything, and i didnt just action replay the cartridge to hell and back, i was finally just reliving gen 4 all the way as it was and it was just so refreshing. it had one of my favorite teams made up almost entirely of pokemon i hadnt really used before but liked from a distance, and i remember i was underleveled for the champion but i didnt feel like grinding in victory road so i figured id just go through the elite four until i wiped out but then?? i got through it first try? cynthia gave me absolute hell obviously but my weavile wrecked her and i was so proud... it was such a good feeling i love platinum sm...
