Just as the sun rises and falls. Just as life begins and ends, so do dreams. Lucky for me, my dream came true. This realm, called Kaima, connects all worlds in one way or another. Here is the home of the celestials known as Stareon. They are large fox like creatures who’s fur carries many patterns and colors. They are one of many races that act as Keepers in Kaima. Keepers are those chosen by the Gates of Kaima to travel the multiverse and help those worlds who would turn to decline.
Dinnus sits in a large field, the tall grass swaying in the wind. Around him, huge stone gates stand tall, doors firmly shut. He stares up at the starry midnight sky. “Where will the gates go next?” He seems to ask the sky.
“Where ever you are needed most.” A knowing voice responds. As if from thin air a large female Stareon appears. Her fur long and a brilliant royal purple. She carries black markings on her tail and head.
Dinnus jumps, “Kay you startled me. It’s rare to see you in your true form, what brings you out here?”
“Looking for you. The others were worried when you left during dinner and didn’t return.” She’s as as she sits beside him. “Still thinking too much or too little I see.”
“Too much I fear. But I can’t help but worry.” He says shaking his head.
Kay wraps her tail around him. “You’ve made many friends along the way. Ask them and talk to them. Do what you feel is right and follow your own path.”
Dinnus sits quiet for a moment before taking a deep breath. “You’re right, of course.” He stands as the ground begins to rumble. “A new gate opens. It calls for me.” He says. “Shall we go?”
Kay stands and with a quick nod they both fade into the nights air. Another gate. Another world.
