before her and chan’s relationship got outed, this was definitely a huge problem because delusional fans could take any moment/interaction with the members and either ship them hard or use it as an excuse to hate on her. poor rookie era juju was in the trenches every other week because of dating scandals (some even accusing her of dating MULTIPLE members) 😭 it emotionally affected her really bad but back then kq told everyone to let it pass, only really taking action when the rumours were really malicious or led to threats
the members of course spoke out and told people to stop, especially during their early years when juju couldn’t say anything without getting hate for it, but as she started to build more confidence in herself she also began addressing the rumours when they got out of hand. this led to a few (valid) crashouts where she’d say things like “guys idk how many times you want me to say this but i don’t want them like that. you can have them!—actually no, you don’t deserve them”
then when chanliet got outed, the shipping with the members mostly died down but again, there are still delusional fans who will insist she’s also with a member, or that the whole chanliet relationship is a coverup :/ and on multiple times she’s had to seriously tell people to stop because of how disrespectful it is to their relationship by continuing to make up baseless rumours or genuinely trying to ship her with the members. that being said, chanliet are very secure in their relationship and would never let this get between them!!

this might be the yummiest au for chanliet ever (though i also love me a classic uni au) and for anyone new to this au, i hc chan as a dance instructor who runs his own dance studio and juju as a vet!
while it wasn’t exactly love at first sight, chan and juju definitely became quick friends due to their similar sense of humour; they just really vibed with each other, even as they were exploring their options by getting to know the other contestants
it wasn’t until when they were paired up for a couples’ challenge where they really started to develop feelings for each other. it was a physical game, and there were a couple times where he instinctively shielded her from the other teams’ “attacks”, and reassured her a million times after the game because she felt really guilty
as their feelings for each other grew stronger, they subconsciously initiated more physical contact like brushing/linking pinky fingers whenever they sat down to talk, and walking really close together, him tucking her hair behind her ears or fixing her bangs for her; the panelists were definitely suspicious of him at the beginning, not sure if he genuinely liked her or if he was just doing all these things to reel her in
he changed their minds when they sat at the swings one night and had a really deep discussion about their preferred dating styles and general insights about love and relationships, which really showed how sincere and compatible they both were
it didn’t take long for the other contestants to catch on that chanliet were very obviously into each other, and that they wouldn’t be considering other options anymore; it came as no surprise when they were able to go to paradise together
chan continued to be as caring as ever when they were at paradise, letting her take the bed while he slept on the (still luxurious) sofa and cutting up food for her during meals, etc.
they were so shocked to find out that they lived only a few subway stops from each other, which prompted chan to make a flirty but genuine comment about how maybe this was fate finally making their paths cross
they definitely took advantage of the private pool of their suite, and everyone could see how they started blushing furiously from each other in swimwear (chan only in his swim trunks and juju in a cute two-piece)

and who could forget the iconic campfire? the juicy moments really only came from the contestants who had more complicated situations; for chanliet, they might as well have straight up confessed to each other 😭
then came the game-changers, and the girl immediately took a liking to chan, much to juju’s worry. when the girl picked chan as one of the male contestants to go to paradise with, everyone could see the colour visibly drain from juju’s face
she was very gloomy for the whole day, though she tried to hide it from the other contestants who did their best to cheer her up :’) the ones who she got close to and consider older brother/sister figures also gave her advice and urged her to express her feelings more explicitly to chan
juju feigned nonchalance when the paradise group returned to inferno. even when chan immediately sought her out to talk, she acted like she wasn’t at all affected when he teased her about it; she got all huffy and pouty while denying being jealous, and he just couldn’t help but laugh because he finds her so adorable and endearing; it took everything in him not to just kiss her then
her facade crumbled immediately when he pulled out a chocolate/flower he snuck out from the hotel because he remembered her saying she liked it when they were there, basically confirming that his feelings for her haven’t wavered and that he was pretty much thinking about her the whole time he was gone; her eyes definitely got shiny from unshed tears because she was just so touched
chanliet had to fight tooth and nail to win their second trip to paradise, and they made sure to really make the most of it. they spent hours talking about their lives while having dinner, going swimming, and doing their skincare
juju shyly offering that they share the bed because it was big enough for the both of them. despite their best efforts to keep a decent amount of distance between them, they still managed to end up cuddling in their sleep, which became a standout moment of the season
with their relationship practically confirmed, chan would simply sit next to juju as she did her makeup in the little huts at inferno, taking the time to admire her
needless to say, they left inferno as a couple and went on a few dates before chan officially asked her to be his girlfriend <33
