Today's Public Domain Character: Doug

Remember Doug? It was a Nickolodeon show but then became a Disney show.

Well he started as a mascot for Florida Grapefruit juice and the original commercial from 1988 didnt have copyright notice and wasnt registered within 5 years of publication which makes him as seen above public domain by way of 80s copyright law.

Caveat, none of the supporting characters from the later shows are public domain. Those I believe are owned by Disney.

A Disney era esgrimista em produções mágicas e reluzentes (iluminado, alegre, inspirador, encorajador).

Hoje as produções da Disney são; mórbidos, frios, amargos, amargurados, rancorosos, depressivos, vingativos históricos, de vibração baixa... totalmente o oposto das produções que construíram o monumento da Disney.

O filme da sereia tem a mesma paleta de cores dos filmes do Batman. Ridículo!

Pegue pelo filme Avatar, as cenas na água são vivas, vibrantes e reluzentes até onde seria uma cena escura.

A meu ver, e entender a situação. O maior erro da Disney foi entregar a direção e os roteiros das suas obras nas mãos de um bando de 'mortiços rebeldes'. Desde o início estava claro que daria errado.
