Happy 22nd Anniversary to my childhood heroes! I’ll never forget the adventures I lived with them either. 

Ichariba Chode is an Okinawan Japanese saying that means “through we meet but once, even by chance, we are friends for life.” The phrase was also said by Wataru Urazoe, Takato’s grandfather, when Takato visited Okinawa in the movie Digimon Tamers: Battle of The Adventurer. The phrase, I believe, is a perfect description of the relationship between the humans and their respective Digimon partner in general. For Tamers and some other Digimon universes, it is unfortunate that they could only be together for a short time, but forever they will be friends. And of course, our hope is no less bigger than theirs: for someday, they can be with each other again. 8月１日 - Happy Digimon Day! 

Home is wherever your family is, be it your biological family, or the found family we establish throughout our lives. I’d like to think the team of Chosen see one another as found family members, a cohesive unit that uplifts and supports one another throughout their lives. I have always loved this aspect of their bond from the beginning: they always have each other’s back through the good and the bad times because they are one team, one unit, one family. In the end, I think that feeling of belonging and closeness is something we all seek.

Every story has a beginning. And most beginnings are defined through a fateful meeting or encounter. Wether those meetings are filled with confusion, fear, anger or a vague sense of recollection... these encounters are sure to start something wonderful.
