It had been a particularly grueling day.  The entire team had undergone a new level of the Princess’s training regime, and morale was low by the end of it.  Pidge had sprained an ankle and Hunk took an elbow to the nose when Shiro had tried to break up a fight between Lance and Keith. Sighing, The black paladin entered his private quarters and halted.  Something was different.  His nerves were rattled and it took Shiro longer than he liked to process the scene.  Everything was as he’d left it, tidy and locked up.  He had no personal effects, making his quarters quite sparse.  Except for his bed. It was still neatly made, only there was a very large white egg with yellow stripes sitting in its center.
