Digital degradation
Digital degradation is a speculative look at ways in which future humans could protect their digital identify. The system would detect when code has been ripped from another users digital avatar, which would in turn trigger the gradual degradation of the avatars appearance and performance, until nothing remains but an unidentifiable and corrupted mess.Â
Process: First, a 3D scan was conducted of my face. This raw data was then tidied up using mesh mixer and imported into Rhinoceros. From here, a grasshopper plugin called Yellow was used to deform the facial mesh into three distinct styles. The resulting models were then rendered using Keyshot 8 and converted to Gif format using photoshop.Â
