25 / 09 / 2019 (10 P.M.) So, what is Digimap? Digimap was the morning topic for today. In the morning lesson with Paul, our year group digital demonstrator, we looked at ways in which the digimap website can be used to study the data of various regions. We have, then, exported the data we required and edited it on AutoCAD, getting it ready to devise on Sketchup. Digimap website enables users to download maps throughout history. The files need to be imported into AutoCAD for further practice, as they appear as vector-based files. Once the map is opened on AutoCAD, the lines should be cleaned up, based upon preference and making sure that all the lines are as one polyline and overkilled. This session gave me an opportunity for a fresh start in my Salford Museum & Art Gallery project. It is crucial to utilise all the digital skills acquired for my advantage, hence after the lesson today I completed an environmental site survey for the location of the space, in which I valued, and it will feedback in my scheme at a later point. Overall, I am pleased with what I achieved today.
