Akashi Seijuro
Note: Hi ! Decided to make a part two of this akashi oneshot I made here. Hope you guys enjoy ! Pairing: Akashi Seijuro x reader
It had been weeks since you and Akashi broke up. You pass by each other in the hallway but barely spare the other a glance. You can feel it though—his eyes piercing the back of your head. You chose to ignore it—to ignore him. You were the one who broke up with him, how could you still possibly want him back?
When he's even just within your vicinity, you immediately run away. You avoid him like the plague while he stands there and questions whatever went wrong.
You rummage through your closet, determined to get rid of everything that he owns—everything that would remind you of him.
Then you find it. His hoodie.
It was the one you always wore whenever you were feeling sad, when you missed him, when his words hurt too much to bear.
It was a bit worn out now. The strings were chewed out, the fabric was starting to tear, and his scent was no longer there—overpowered by your own. You sniffed it for good measure, hoping that maybe a bit of him was still left. You were wrong.
You stared at the box on the floor filled with your framed pictures together, the gifts he gave you, and all the memories you both once shared. You clutched his hoodie even tighter and buried your face deep into the clothing to mute out the sounds of your sobbing.
You grab your phone and typed out a message.
I've got your stuff. Are you home?
You're seriously returning all of that?
I'll go to your place instead
Akashi...
I'm Akashi now, huh?
...
Sorry...
I miss you
You didn't reply this time. He knew perfectly well how to get you.
You were already at the door by the time he arrived. He walked up to you with a solemn look in his face. You refused to make eye contact.
You handed him over the box and he took it hesitantly.
"I'm so sorry ___, for everything."
"I know."
His eyes widened noticeably. He was staring at your get up. Sweatpants paired with a hoodie. His hoodie. You clutched the sleeves protectively.
"I'm not returning this."
"I'm not asking you to."
Silence fell between the both of you. A good minute had passed when you finally decided to speak up.
"You should go." He looked at you but you refused to meet his gaze.
"I should." He turns away to leave. He places the box inside the trunk of his car. "I left immediately so I couldn't pack your items in time. Do you want me to—"
"No need, you can keep them." You cut him off before he could finish. You just wanted him to leave already.
"I see. I shall go now then." He opens the drivers seat of his car but looks at you one last time before he drives away. "Goodbye, __. I'll see you at school." Akashi then drives away into the sunset. Maybe this was your way of closure, maybe it was for him too.
You closed the front door behind you as you looked forward to a future where he no longer belonged to.
