#did question

I (May) am a diagnosed DID system, we have 6 alters including myself as very seperate people with seperate personalities, likes, hobbies, etc

I have a question about labels for subsystems. Within my (newly discovered) subsystem I have 3 more alters. We've been referring to ourselves as M1, M2, and M3 for now because we all seem to identify as May.

I know a lot of systems make individual sonas for their alters, and even though I'm not a system, sometimes I find it easier to picture my thoughts/feelings as little, personified characters, sort of Inside Out or Chonny Jash style (aka a "logical/rational" one, and an "emotional/impulsive" one). I don't do this all the time, though, just sometimes when I feel particularly torn on making a decision or otherwise emotionally-logically conflicted.

Is this ok for me to do? I don't want to be stealing or misusing something that is important to the DID community.

Say an alter is heavily inspired by a fictional character (same name, personality, likes, etc), but isn't that character, is there a term for that?

Something between fictive and brainmade. Or just between introject and brainmade.

( I usually don't talk about my DID, but this has been an issue recently)
