Bitter pill for some of you "good" alters to swallow, but some "bad" alters split because you needed someone to hate.
Some persecutors act the way that they do precisely so you'll direct your hate onto them, where it's safe, rather than anger your abuser or abuse an innocent yourself.
Maybe actually unpack why you hate that alter before you do. "But they did this or that or" yeah, maybe they fucking did. But why did they do it? Just to be a cunt? Maybe. Sometimes sure. But sometimes you need to look a little deeper and give your brain some fucking credit – it can do some messed up shit to keep you safe. Including creating an amalgamation of morally bad behaviour that you can feel good about taking your anger out on.
Except, sometimes, that amalgamation has feelings and a name and know what their job is, and don't enjoy it. They do it because it's the only way to guarantee you're not going to cuss out your abuser and get you all hurt or killed.
Shout-out to the intimidating alters. Shout-out to Protectors who are often rude or aggressive as part of their function. Shout-out to Gatekeepers who are often cold or uncaring as part of their function. Shout-out to the Caretakers who are often overly bearing or demanding as part of their function. Shout-out to the Persecutors who are often hostile or distrustful of others as part of their function.

anyway, people need to cut persecutors some slack. the more you persecute THEM, often the worse it'll get, and you'll both get hurt. respect them like how you want to be respected, and with enough patience to see through your differences [YES, WHEN I SAY PATIENCE I MEAN FROM BOTH SIDES!!!!!!!] , you'll make progress.
oh and btw dont slap the persecutor label on an alter either unless they agree they are one. while one of the points of this is that i don't think the role should be frowned upon at all, i get why some don't like it. the stereotype and stigma isn't gonna just... disappear overnight... sadly...

digital yellow doesn't see what he's had to handle as the root for his behaviours (though... it's the reason he split in the first place..) and while he doesn't exactly mirror our abusers, it's more... well. where is this coming from man. he doesn't do it angrily and seemingly more for 'fun' unlike them too, but. as provided. ultimately he does care and doesn't want all this to eat away at us too deeply, he handles the fallout, and he's extremely protective when it comes to others hurting us. i know he does have a perception that only he is allowed to hurt me... and considering he's not doing much of that nowadays, that's pretty fine with me. even if it's not good it seems to be a foundational belief
him being a persecutor is integral to his role internally especially to do with being a gatekeeper and enforcing the roles of others, and i mean. this is what we need as a system. and it's also a huge reason why i think the term shouldn't be so frowned upon... it can be a productive role. it can do good. that 'antagonistic' part might not actually even be antagonising you at all when you reframe things and look at the larger picture. i guess it truly is protector in a different font, even if some persecutors don't like that.
