“I’m gonna have so many bites after this.” Carla complained, though she was still reaching for her weapon that she had propped against the crafting bench. Amanda stood nearby, purposely tucked away in a corner so that the undead couldn’t reach her—without getting through Carla first, that is. There was a cheeky grin on her face, even as she draped her arms around the Slayer.

“If you do, I promise to kiss them and make it all better~” Amanda mused.

Carla grinned herself, leaning forward to press a kiss against the blonde’s nose. “I’mma hold ya to that,” she said, “now which way first, Loca?”

Amanda jumped to life. “To the Pier! Imagine all the shots we can get with the lights in the background? It’ll be beautiful—PERFECT—10k quality! It’ll put earless art guy to shame!”

“Who—"

“Doesn’t matter!” Amanda interrupted, pressing a finger against Carla’s lips. When the Slayer went to bite, it was quickly pulled away with a pout forming on Amanda’s lips. “Rude!”

“Then get to the point.”

“We’re gonna be famous Bestie!” Amanda exclaimed, clearly astounded at the fact that Carla wasn’t just as gung-ho for all of this like she was. “Aren’t you excited? How can you not be excited?!”

Carla was uncharacteristically quiet for a moment—making Amanda think the Slayer had heard a zombie—but when Carla instead approached, Amanda found herself suddenly squished against the wall. The blonde went to open her mouth, but as the other woman leaned even closer with her arm placed on the wall next to her head, for once in her life, Amanda Styles found herself speechless.

“Honestly, no.” Carla started, secretly reveling in the way Amanda stared up at her. “But as long as I get to spend the day with you, I’ll do anything you want.”

Heat bloomed across Amanda’s face, the heat from an LA summer doing nothing to help the situation. Her mouth was agape like a fish, but she couldn’t formulate a reply except for incoherent babbles that only had the brunette above her grinning ear to ear. Plus with the way Carla only leaned further into her, with her other hand beginning to creep up Amanda’s side—

However, before Carla could test just how far up her hand could go a zombie sunk it’s teeth into her leg.

“¡Hijo de puta!” Carla shouts angrily. She punches at the z-bag whose teeth were still latched onto her, more annoyed about the fact that it got the chance to sneak up on her versus the pain of another bite joining the ranks. What was that—nineteen now? Regardless, the Shambler was quickly disposed of with a quick stomp to the skull while the sounds brought out other zombies from every nook and cranny; even a Butcher decided to make an appearance.

“Mierda! Stupid moaners ruining my moment!” Carla yells, quickly readying her weapon as she rushed out to meet them. No way in Hell-A were they going to get away with this.

Amanda breathed a sigh of relief; hands relaxed on her hips while Carla charged headfirst into a Runner. She watched as the brunette tore through each and every thing that dared to think it was even a match for the Slayer. Yet no matter how many times Amanda saw it, she never tired of the sight. The internet personality’s typical grin quickly took its place back on her face as Amanda reached into her bag, grabbing for her own camera.
