yes, the government should be held accountable. but shall the protests be so violent? if you read the law, it's not legal to protest without permission, which they didn't have. the police were bound to defend.
and if the neet paper leaked, there was a re-neet exam. people are being emotional for no reason, this was not a big issue at all.
let me respond to your bs as calmly as i can.
1. it's not illegal to gather together somewhere to peacefully protest against something. even if an NOC is not signed, the police have no right to use excess violence. any unlawful, disproportionate and unjustified violence on the protestors is ILLEGAL/not defined under the law. show me ONE clip where the protestors were being violent, not retaliating to the uncalled for violence they were subjected to.
2. 'the police were bound to defend' defend how, exactly? by fixing nails on their sticks to beat students? to tear apart women's clothes, shove their sticks up their private parts, grope them? (most of them were minors btw) to throw tear gasses at them? break their bones? all of which were captured in videos, so don't talk about proofs. moreover, defend WHAT, exactly? the protestors were calm through and through, even after getting beat. they used their voice, slogans but never used any sort of arms.
3. 'this was not a big issue at all' yeah? tell that to the parents of the children who committed suicide. i dare you, look them in the eye and tell them that they're being emotional. i'd like to see you prepare for neet- work your ass off the entire year with little to no social life. imagine grinding the entire year, just for the paper to get leaked and cancelled. some people don't have the privilege of attempting again. for some people, that was their last shot to prove themselves.
the government should've held accountability for the leak, should've held a press conference. they didn't even properly meet the parents of the victims. if they can be so heartless and irresponsible, then I don't see any other option left other than to revolt.
don't talk about laws to me, when this is how you express your opinion. be a human first, before a political party's defender. and come as you are next time, not under an anon's tag.
Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening everyone.
On 20th of July 2026, India witnessed one of the biggest protests in the past decade. Millions of students came together to protest for the resignation of the Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan.
The education ministry has failed the students time and time again. This year's question paper of one of the biggest exams in the entire nation, NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test), which is conducted for students who wish to pursue medical studies from renowned institution across the country were leaked. This led to National Testing Agency announcing a re-test which led to the suicide of 20 students due to immense stress and anxiety.
Led by Mr. Abhijeet Dipke, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), launched a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar, located in Central Delhi on 6th of June 2026. It gained momentum and significance when a renowned scientist, engineer and environmental activist Mr. Sonam Wangchuk joined the protest and went on a hunger strike on 28th of June 2026. On the 20th day of his hunger strike, he was forcibly taken to the police station and detained.
The CJP then launched a parliament march on 20th of July 2026.
The demands were simple: 1) Resignation of the Union Education Minister 2) Compensation of ₹ 1 Crore (≈$ 1,03,803.90) to the parents that lost their children 3) Release of Mr. Wangchuk and all the other protesters that were detained
Millions of students and non-students, which included social media influencers, normal people, kids and the parents of the students who lost their lives, gathered to express their support. But the Union wasn't very pleased by it.
Section 163 under the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) was imposed ahead of the march. It explicitly prohibited any gathering of 5 or more individuals. What started as a peaceful protest, soon turned violent when the people that gathered were beaten by the Delhi Police. Many were injured. Women who showed up, including little girls, were groped by the male police officers, some had their clothes ripped and some were even given rape threats. Female police officers weren't any better. They too were stripping clothes of the female protesters and telling them to have shame. Ironic. Expired tear gas shells were thrown which could've led to life-threatening events.
However, the worst part was that none of these police officers wore uniforms with their names on it. CCTV cameras were disabled and so was the internet, leaving people stranded and helpless. The bare minimum of basic human right was stripped away from the hands of the protesters.
People were hospitalised, many with wounds and some with concerning head injuries. Little kids that showed up were also beaten while their parents begged the police to spare them.
This is what happened on 20th, 21st is a whole another story.
I am not asking for anyone's support. The reason why I made this post is because I know my immediate circle on tumblr is diverse and I wish to use it to spread this news to people beyond borders.
Thank you for taking your time and reading this
I remember the first time I went to the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The Mandir was freshly inaugurated that year. I was beyond euphoric to go witness what my previous generations waited their entire lives to see. Growing up in a family where I was taught that Ram was Maryada Purushottam, the man with the most ideal character, I always associated him with the principles of honestly, justice, fairness and equality. The moment I saw the Bhavya Prangan, I felt something in my heart that is not expressible through words, it can only be felt. Going there, I had about a thousand rupees in my purse tat I had been saving since a long time, bit by bit. Putting in those thousand rupees into the Daanpeti, I had a satisfaction knowing that somehow...somewhere...what I worked so hard to save up will ultimately find my lord. Cut to, a few days ago. I read the news about the scam in my Aradhya Dev's home. The first thing I thought about was not the thousand rupees of mine that went into the Daanpeti— it was a doubt. Did the feeling of satisfaction about my savings reaching Bhagwaan amount to nothing? Was it all really just a lie fed to me? All this time, when I was thinking Shree Ram's name was synonymous with Justice, this was what they did to him in his own temple. Shree Ram never was BJP's. Shree Ram had always belonged to his people. Everything the Bharatiya Janta Party has said about "saving" Hinduism was a blatant bluff. When did Hinduism, the gods, or other religions for that matter need people to protect them? Wake up people. These people see Hindus as votebanks. You see them as heroes. They are far worse for us that anyone else. They talk about foreign invaders looting our temples don't they? Well, I guess Make in India also includes Indians themselves robbing their own temples. Sone ki Lanka khud ki banate hain, Ram ka tyaag bhi apna batate hain. My god never needed anyone to save him, especially not people robbing from him. The sheer disrespect towards Ram was what makes me angry. Because it is not Kunal Kamra standing in a CJP Protest saying "Sita ke pati ka naam leke Nita ke pati ka kaam karte hain" that was disrespectful, but songs like "Kat jaoge mit jaoge, ho jayega ant, Fir na milega is Bharat ko Modi jaisa sant. Ram agar hain Modi toh Yogi hain Hanuman" DEFINITELY should've angered the masses more. Perhaps, Nitish Tiwari should scrap his cast of Ramayana and cast our Hon'ble PM as Ram, Hon'ble Home Minister as Lakshman, Hon'ble CM of Uttar Pradesh as Hanuman and a certain Italian Prime Minister as Maa Sita, huh? God watches everything. To some, it is a threat. To some, it is a blessing.

Aww, poor BJP supporters. No one understands what they’re going through. Apparently, they also want Dharmendra Pradhan to resign, but they aren’t brave enough to speak up to their masters. Instead, they go against those who do speak up to the government, just to hide their own cowardice. They are too scared to criticise the government, so they instead scrutinise those who do. Please be gentle with them, because for them, everyone who doesn’t sing praises for Modi and Dhurandhar is a godforsaken anti-national. They can’t yet comprehend the relations between different issues, so they are stuck on the childish notion that a protest for paper leaks should only focus on paper leaks. How dare we bring up other issues that affect us and are related to it? How dare we bring up privatisation and marginalisation? How dare we accept help from parties that support students and Sonam Wangchuk? How dare we politicise a totally political issue? BJP always deals with every issue without politics, doesn’t it? Don’t you realise all this makes sanghis feel lonely and misunderstood? But first and foremost, why are we even focusing on unnecessary issues like corruption in the Indian education system, or rather, the education industry? We must first focus on Important Things, like garlanding rapists, changing street names, trying to forcibly end reservations in a country riddled with caste, selling every last forest to Adani, making laser eyes edits, defeating Pakistan in comments sections, and asking that actor why they didn’t praise Dhurandhar. It’s time to self-introspect, comrades.
to forcibly drag a peacefully protesting 60-year old man under the guise of a legal order and deny him and his wife any sort of basic patient rights, while also unleashing the full might of the state onto literal students, who demand nothing more than dialogue from you, is nothing short of democracy’s funeral.
i’m tired of fence sitters claiming that their votes continue to go to this party because “there is no better opposition.” i’m tired of you using vague and manipulated data to justify “progress” under the regime as a thinly-veiled attempt to mask your bigotry and hatred. if we fall into authoritarian hands one day, it is because your hatred eclipsed your humanity.
