DGS chronicles the lego movie au but a little more self indulgent then most

Instead of the obvious Emmet=Ryuu Lucy=Kazuma, its reversed

Lucy would take Ryuunosukes place, getting accused of the murder of Barbara and staying with The Famous Detective Batman while becoming a lawyer

Meanwhile Emmet would take Kazuma's place, The defense Lawyer who stands with his Special Best Friend to help her clear her name when she gets accused of a murder. He's already planned his trip off-shore, and begs Lucy to come with him for support.

The Kicker?

Emmet is killed on the way there, so with the help of Emmet Judicial Assistant Unikitty(I want viscerally for her to still be a Unicat in this. The First time they hear her speak in the Gotham-London court the entire place almost loses it, but there's no law stating that a talking cat-thing can't be a judicial aide, so they cant do anything about it. They cant even keep her out. She just appears on the defences side of the court anyway), they solve the murder, and with a heavy heart Lucy closes the book on Emmet's life, Safety Vest her only remaining connection. She dons the vest, a grim but determined reminder.
