#dezias

Dezias and Chylak are two of four trolls I made in conjunction with @jubdig​ and @mizzqueenofships​- each of us with four fantrolls for a potential SGRUB setup but hasn’t gotten past the ‘these are our characters and their dynamics with each other’ stage for the past while. I currently run them just as normal vaguely placed citizens.

Tuyere and Kitreo are shipcrew on Cruiser Crukov, who @mizzqueenofships​‘s fantrolls run- including Diretrix Vhanta. There is another troll there I control, Tisnef, the grody-looking former-helmstroll who may or may not be haunting the ship depending on where in the timeline we are. (There is an AU where we’ve shoved the 1st group of potential-SGRUB trolls onto there but that also just kinda hangs out there).

Essint is the only one that doesn’t have a hard connection to any previously established setting/group connected, other than a potential for shipping. This has been going as smoothly as I expected, which is not at all since I haven’t been active recently. She does come with an actual place-setting of a terrifying college dorm-monastery-mural gallery, though!

The Pursuant freezes, like he’s been caught in a trap. It is a tense moment where he sifts his mind, trying to make certain that he is not being watched, not being manipulated. He knows it happens. He knows that he can’t do anything about it when it does occur.

“she”, he breathes out, hesitant still. “I...”

Something sticks in his throat and he grips the handles of one of his daggers.

“She w-s good 2 me. Better than I ever have known. Better than I ever could know without her.”

He looks down, then across over his shoulder as if searching for someone. His voice lowers to a whisper and you have to lean in to hear it clearly through his mumbling.

Dezias should have asked for more information when he responded to the fern-green text contacting him about a job. Sure, the greenblood gave him enough information to find their missing blueblood quadmate, but the details on why exactly the blueblood was missing were...lacking. Technically, Dezias didn’t need to know about that for his psionics to work, but there had been some weird gossip of late on the city streets...

The gangly troll consulted the crinkled map of high-town. He himself stood on the border between where the lowbloods mingled and the mid and high bloods cavorted. It wasn’t any sort of physical barrier, but he knew the city enough to see the subtle cues. The pavement was a little flatter, a little neater- most stains scrubbed away and nearly unnoticeable if not for the rusts and golds stuck in the cracks. Gaudy banners draped swooping archways and he could hear some seadweller splashing noisily in the fountain around the corner. Supposedly the missing blueblood had a favorite haunt here, marked handily on the map in his hand. The map in his head, though, showed the lost troll elsewhere.

“What ‘re yu doin’ by th cliffs?” he muttered between two thick jutting fangs. In his mind’s eye, a blip wandered towards the east, which put him near the bluffs on the edge of the city. It was a bit of a trek, but Dezias knew a way with minimal fuss. The yellow-blood shoved the map back into the pocket of his much patched pants and began to scale the building nearest to him, hands finding holds and arms pulling him up until he reached the rooftop.

From there he began running, hopping across gaps and speeding up and over outcroppings and sculptures, following the pull of his powers. Unfortunately, those same powers did not account for the actual landscape, and instead of a solid path of rooftops, there was a heap of rubble. Dezias lingered on the edge before shrugging, climbing down from the roof, and taking a seat in front of the rubble in bemusement.

Dezias is most stagnant, though I can also just make that an intentional part of his current state, so rps with him could go into pushing and pulling him out of his current comfort zone of the city. He’s getting bored of his own stuff, even the super cool parkour routes- but he’s also not the best at being totally independent, so the thought of striking out on his own before conscription time comes along is intriguing but terrifying.

Chylak is the actual hermit out of my trolls, but she actually has more opportunity for external hooks. She has had friends before (troll electronica concerts are solid gold), but fell out of touch with them in bouts of suspicion and anxiety.  She’s aware that she needs more meatspace contacts than just her anonymous conspiracy compatriots, especially for times when paranoia gives her a hard kick, so an external support system would do her wonders.

Essint is currently dreading her position as Habvisor- playing RA to a bunch of baby clowns is only so exciting, and she knows their behavior reflects on her, which is to say, poorly. As such, she wants to move onto bigger and better things- make adult friends/confidants and a proper position where she can distinguish herself.
